§Eight§

                    Dinah POV
The minute we got into the car I felt something was wrong. Y/N switched seats with Ally. I looked back at Y/N and Lauren had her arm around her. They looked like they were dating. I felt an unsettling feeling in the pit of my stomach. There's no way she would be with Lauren after we just made up. Is there? Normani was talking to Ally earlier and said that Lauren and Y/N had to talk about things so they're busy. I didn't think much of it because they're best friends, but now it seems more than that. We were driving to Ally's brother's house which also had a barn where he kept his horses. "Ugh, I can't wait to see Rider again" Ally squealed. "I can't wait to see Liam!" Lauren exclaimed. "My brother said he misses you Lo" Ally replied. "Awww I remember when he was a pony" Lauren smiled. Y/N looked at her the whole entire time and smiled at her excitement. Lauren looked back at her and smiled. I turned my head but before I did I swear I saw Lauren kiss Y/N's cheek. My blood was boiling. Leave it to Lauren to steal Y/N away from me. I've know that she has a crush on Y/N for awhile now and I didn't tell Y/N cause I don't know. I don't know what to think anymore. "Since when we're Lauren and Y/N so...close?" Ally asked. "I don't know" I growled. "Y/N looks happy though" Ally smiled. I looked back at them and saw Ally was right. Lauren held Y/N protectively and Y/N was snuggled into her with her arms around her waist. Normani saw Ally and I looking back then followed our gaze. She gasped then covered her mouth. Lauren looked over at her then me. I glared at her with anger clouding my mind. Lauren smirked then winked at me. She ran her hand through Y/N's hair which caused her to smile. I couldn't look away but I wanted to. If only Y/N knew how much of a prick Lauren is.

"Dinah, you need to stay away from Y/N" Lauren said. "Why? She's my girlfriend" I replied. "You don't treat her like it" Lauren said.  "We're just going through a rough time in our relationship, not that it's any of your business" Dinah said. "Yeah it is, Y/N comes to Normani and I crying about what you do, she deserves someone better" I smirked and placed my bottle on the ground. "And who would that be?" I clasped my hands together. "I don't know" Lauren claimed but I could see the uncertainty in her tone and the way she uncomfortably shifted under my gaze. "I think you do Lauren" I grinned. "Luke didn't catch on, but I did, your feelings for my girlfriend is cute but not acceptable" I scowled. Lauren's eyes went wide but she stayed calm. "Don't act like you know me Hansen, you're just scared that she'll find out about how you've been messing around with other people" Lauren said. "And when that happens I'll be right there to caress and comfort your girlfriend" She smirked. I didn't respond, how the hell did she know that? "She wouldn't want you Laur" I said. "She's in love with me and you're just the best friend" I grinned. "Not for long" Lauren said. "Meaning?" Lauren narrowed her eyes at me. "Meaning one way or another Y/N will come to your senses and be done with you" Lauren said. "You're going to tell her?" I asked with the same tone. "What kind of a friend would I be if I didn't?" I pushed her back. "Stay out of my business" I growled. "Break up with Y/N, you don't deserve her" She pushed me back. "Do you really want to go with me Jauregui?" I asked. "You may be a few inches taller but you're nothing without skill" Lauren cracked her knuckles. I took a swing at her and Lauren dodged it. She took my hand and pulled me forward, twisting my arm behind my back. "Try something" Lauren said. I headbutted her causing for her to stumble back, I immediately punched her in the face. Her lip was bleeding and there was a bruise on her head. She lunged at me and punched me repeatedly in the face. I threw her off then picked her up. Blood trickled down my chin. "Tell me why I shouldn't make you swallow your own teeth?" I asked. A loud gasp behind us made me drop her. "Oh my-   " Y/N covered her mouth. "What's going on?" She asked. Lauren and I looked at each other then back to Y/N. "My god" she gasped. Y/N walked up to me and put her hand on my cheek. "Baby what happened?" A tear fell down her cheek. "Nothing" I said. She rolled her eyes then went to Lauren. I frowned then looked at their interaction. "Oh my gosh, Lo your face" Y/N said. "What happened?" Y/N asked. "We had a disagreement" Lauren said. "About what?" she stepped back. "You know what, I don't want to know, not right now" Y/N said. "Why do you keep fighting with people Dinah?" Y/N cried. "Did you really have to attack my best friend?" Y/N shook her head. "Babe, you're not actually taking her side, are you?" I grew angry. Lauren winked at me which made me want to punch her face again. "I'm not taking side's! It's just you have been so angry, and I don't know why, I don't know what happened, I don't know what to do" Y/N continued to cry. I went up to her and wrapped my arms around her. "I'm sorry" I said. "No you're not, you say you're sorry and start drinking again" Y/N pushed me away and Lauren went up to us. She engulfed Y/N in a hug and Y/N sobbed in her arms. I sighed and grabbed my jacket. "This is ridiculous" I huffed. I walked to the door of the stairwell. We were on the rooftop of Ally's apartment where she was having her birthday party. Some birthday party this turned out to be. I went down to Ally's apartment and lowered my head so no one would immediately see my scars. Blood was dripping down my face though. "Dinah, oh my gosh, what happened?!" Ally gasped. "Nothing" I said. "Dinah, what happened?" Normani asked. "I got into a fight" I said. "Well that's clear" Normani said. Y/N and Lauren came in soon after. She looked at me then said something to Lauren which made her frown but she immediately composed herself. She went to the kitchen and took the ice cubes we saved for the party. She took a ziploc bag then dumped some of the cubes in there. I watched her as she walked up to me. "Here" she handed me the bag. "Y/N-   " "I don't want to talk about it" Y/N said. Ally came back with wipes. "Thanks" I said. Ally gave me a small smile then went to Lauren. Y/N took the wipes from my hand and started to wipe the blood from my cheek. I sucked in my breath. Lauren can hit surprisingly but it only stung a bit. Y/N bit her lip as she saw me cringe from the pain. "Why do you do this to yourself Dinah?" Y/N sighed. "I've been trying to reach out to you for so long" I looked away. "I don't know," I said. "But I will try to be better for you" I lifted her chin. She kissed me for a moment and I felt good about that. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Lauren who was anything but happy at the sight of Y/N and I. Y/N pulled back and gave me a small smile. "Okay" She sighed.
