~ Ten years ago ~

~ (Y/N)'s POV ~

I was sitting in the closet with my cheap heartlocket around my neck. My mom and dad were arguing again. My mom was upset that my dad was out drinking (again) while I won an art reward for the third time. My dad was arguing with her about something completely random.

I held onto the locket as I sighed. It's been like this ever since my dad lost his job. My mom has been making the money as my dad just sat on the couch and drank beer all day. I leaned into a fluffy jacket as tears ran down my face.

I really wished they would stop. It felt like forever until it was silent. It was different, I could feel it. Now I could hear crashing and more yelling. Soon I heard my mom throwing something and My dad cursing before he let out a grunt. Then the door.

I came out of the closet and saw my mom on her knees crying. "Mom?" I said as I approached her. "I'm sorry honey... h..he had to go..." My mom said as she wiped her eyes. I gripped my heart locket before I went up to my room quickly.

I looked out my window to see my dad picking himself up and grabbing his things. He walked away from our house before I sat down and took in a breath. This couldn't be good.

~ Present ~

~ Normal POV ~

You were in front of the high school with a (f/c) bookbag on your back and books in your arms. You were wearing a white shirt with a pink sweater vest, black leggings, and cute sneakers with matching socks. You had a (long/short) haircut with a (f/animal) clip to keep the (left/right) side of your hair back.

This was your third year of high school. You haven't seen your father in the past ten years, you were 5 when he left, now you're 15. Your mom has been working her butt off to try yo get enough money to get you into an art school while you found a job a few weeks ago.

You took in a breath and walked into the school.

Third time is the charm.
