I bit my lip to suppress the grin that was growing. Trying to focus on the lesson was impossible knowing that in two weeks I'll meet the love of my life. Being oblivious to who they are and what they look like really tests your patience and makes your mind race with fantasies of them. I could be walking past them everyday. Maybe I know them. But then again, they could be a complete stranger.
"You should really focus on the lesson." My friend, Kiara, whispered. I smiled sheepishly and looked away from the glowing clock on my wrist.
"It's difficult when it's coming so soon." I whispered back, writing something down about polynomials on the board. I glanced at the smirking mop of curls and rolled my eyes.
"Consider your self lucky for not having to wait any longer." She pulled up her sleeve and showed me the glowing clock on her wrist.
"I've still got five fucking years till I get some sentimental dick." She groused. "-or vagina, you never know."
I chuckled under my breath and nudged her with my elbow. "At least you don't have to feel the nerves and anxiety I have right now." I consoled.
"True, but I will, in five fucking years."

I furrowed my eyebrows, scanning over the shelf at a pharmacy. I hummed, then looked over at Kiara who was leaning against the shelf behind me with her arms crossed. She rolled her eyes and pushed herself off and walked towards me before inspecting the shelf.
"I say you get Trojan." She suggested, standing up right after grabbing a box of Trojan condoms. I laughed and snatched them away before putting it back.
"We don't even know if it's a guy." I grumbled, walking away from her.
"If it isn't, then at least you can give to me when I'm in need!" She exclaimed, jogging towards me. At the entrance of the store I halted and playfully glared at her.
"You said we were going to get shawarma's."
"This was a pit stop." She shrugged. "Just be grateful you have a considerate friend like me."

I tore off a piece of my pop tart as I attentively watched Riverdale. I sat crossed legged on my bed at 11:30, with a blanket over my head and laptop forming a small makeshift tent in my room. Suddenly the lights turned on and the blanket was yanked off my body revealing the monstrosity that was mid shoving the rest of the pop tart in my mouth.
I looked up to see my mom, with her hands on her hips, glaring down at me. I audibly gulped, knowing I'm about to get another lecture about my potentiality with being diagnosed with insomnia and my potential weakened performance at school because my dumbass couldn't wait till Friday to start the series.
"Do you know what time it is?" She started, her eyes darting from me, my laptop, and the wall clock on my wall.
"Uh..."
