3rd POV
Mark parked his car outside the warehouse where Bella is being held captive
It's really dark out so Mark takes a while to make it to the door but when he finally does he slams it open. Guns are immediately raised at him as he examines the area.
It's a giant old barn that's almost completely destroyed from being up during storms. The room was dark and very unsettling but the only thing Mark focused on was the little girl tied to a metal chair in the middle of the room surrounded by the men with raised guns
A man walks out in front of everyone to Mark "You might guess who I am?" "Actually, I really couldn't give a rats ass who you are. I got the money and you've got my daughter. That's all I need to know" "Hmm, well you see I actually have my daughter" "What? You're her real dad?" "The one and only" "I got you and your wife arrested for child abuse!! How are you here!?" "Now I'm not just gonna tell you my plans. Now money"
Mark took out his wallet and took out he money and handed it out to him "Take it" He walks forward and takes the money. He counts it all out "Hmm I didn't really expect you to get it. Release the girl" They untie her and she tries to run to Mark but they hold her back "What are you doing?" he ask
"Well I can't just let you leave. For all I know you could leave and call the cops" "I won't just give her back to me" "See we aren't taking those chances" He pulls out a gun and shoots Marks leg, right below his knee cap
The room was filled with scream and cries from both him and Bella as Mark hits the ground "Let's move out and quick" Her dad said
They ran from the warehouse and Bella ran to Mark "Daddy!!!!" She shrieked "Bella....baby..I-I need you to get my phone....it's...it's in my pocket...hurry and call mommy" Mark grunted in pain but Bella covers her mouth with her hands and shakes her head while crying "Please Bella.....you could be a hero...please save me"
Bella stands up and take his phone but screams when there's still blood on it making her drop it. She picks it back up and the screens a little broken but still usable
She quickly called Amy "Mark!? Are you two ok!?" "Mommy!!!!!!" Bella screamed through her tears "Bella!? What's going on Baby?" "They-They shot daddy!!!!!" "Th-they shot him?! Where!?!" "In-In his le-leg, Mommy help!!!!!" "Ok honey we'll be there soon, watch over daddy ok?" "Ok, just please hurry!!" She cried
Amy hung up and quickly gathered everything "Tyler! We need to get in the car now!" Kathryn, already in tears from hearing Mark was shot ran out to the car and so did Tyler with Amy behind them
"Where to?" Tyler asked panicked "Some old warehouse outside the city!" "I know where"
Tyler sped down the road as fast as he could until he made it to the barn
~Time Skip~
Amy dashes out of the car and through the door Mark slammed open
She freezes when she sees Mark on the floor with blood surrounding him and Bella crying behind a chair "Bella!!! Mark!!!" Bella looks up "Mommy!!!!" She screamed and ran to her. Amy picked her up in a hug then set her down "Bella there's a nice lady outside I need you to go to her" She nods and runs out to Kathryn
Amy gets in front of Mark crying "Mark....Mark!?" He slowly lifts his head "A-Amy...heh, glad I got to see you....one last time" "This isn't the last time...I-I promise...you'll make it through this...."
"Ambulance is here!!" Tyler called and Amy looked at Mark wiping away her tears "See.....it'll be ok" Mark smiles but then his eyes shut and his head drops making Amy scream
Paramedics rushed in and one pulled Amy away from Mark while she screamed and cried
"ma'am it's going to be ok" A paramedic said hugging Amy "Just stay calm, do you want to ride in the ambulance with him?" Amy nods "B-but first...I need t-to check on our daughter" "I understand" The paramedic guided her away from Mark as the load him onto a gurney and outside
Kathryn's in the car holding Bella close to her while she cried. "It's gonna be ok baby" Kathryn told her calmly. Since the ambulance got there Kathryn had calmed down a little and even more now that she has to help calm down Bella
Amy ran to the car and took Bella out of Kathryn's lap and hugged her. Bella wrapped her arms around Amy's neck and cried into her shoulder.
While Amy was holding her close to her a paramedic came over "Ma'am we're taking him to the hospital, if you're gonna ride in the ambulance get in now" "Can our daughter come with me? She's 6" "Yes ma'am she can sit back there" Amy looks to Kathryn "we'll see y'all at the hospital"
They packed into the back of the ambulance with Mark and went to the hospital
Mark could hear Bella crying and looked over a little "B-Bella?" "We're here Mark" Amy told him crying making him smile then look back up
"I love you two"
