Rowan looked back down at his plate, then glanced at his glass. Currently, there was water in it, but he wanted sparkling white grape juice instead.

He picked the glass up and thought about the drink he wanted, just like with his food dish, and watched as the water slowly turned into his desired drink. He took a sip and set it back down, going back to eating. People were still staring, but he ignored them. He hadn't the slightest why they were looking, he was just an ordinary boy. He wasn't as attractive as everyone else, or so he thought about himself.

A bit later, after he finished his dish, it had magically cleaned itself, and Rowan waited for supper to end. It only took a few minutes, but it was enough time that Rowan had gotten drowsy. He always did after supper.

"Alright students, returning students know where they are to go. New students, please wait in your seats until the older years leave, then we will get you situated. Good night everyone!" Headmaster Merryweather had stood to make the announcement, and older students at other tables were slowly flowing out of the dining hall.

Once they had all left, only about 50 were left. All of them were very different and diverse, and most radiated Alpha or Leader energy. Rowan got the sense that most students at this school were Alphas or ones in high power.

"Okay, new students! Tonight, Professor James will take you to your living area. Once you get there, there will be lists on a board near the entrance. This will show who you are roomed with. Each student will share a room with 3 other students, and it is separated by gender, or by your gender identity. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask!" Headmaster Merryweather said to everyone.

Everyone was silent, so she nodded and motioned a man forward. He was tall, maybe around 6 foot 3 inches, and he had curly, dark brown hair, and a younger face. He smiled at everyone and bowed his head slightly, then spoke, "Hello students, I am Professor James, I am the Creatures professor here, all of you will attend my class at some point during your time here. It's a pleasure to meet you all."

There were a few 'hello's' heard, but Rowan continued to look at him curiously. There was something familiar about him. He just couldn't think of what it is.

Everyone started following Professor James as he led them to their living area. They went up several flights of stairs throughout the Academy, before they came upon a door with intricate golden designs on the front, and a plaque beside the door on the wall that said 'First Year Dormitories'. Professor James stopped walking and turned to them.

"This is the entrance to your living area, in here there is a large common room, a fair sized kitchenette, a study room, and your bedrooms. Each bedroom holds 4 students, and you will find your roommates on the list posted on the announcement board. Even though we have cleaners, please keep this room tidy, as you all share it. And please don't be rude or mean to anyone, that is unacceptable behavior, and will get you in trouble. Now, to open the door, just place your hand on the place where the handprint is, and it will open for you. Simple as that. Would anyone like to try it first?"

A tall boy walked forward and spoke, "I would like to!"

His voice was somewhat deep, and smooth, and it held a certain authority in it. He wasn't too bad looking either, his hair was a rich brown color, and it was wavy, his eyes are a striking green, and he was very fit body wise, with slightly tanned skin. Rowan wondered what type of Species he was, he didn't pay attention for some of the testing.

As Rowan studied him, the boy placed his hand on the door, and it slid open quickly but quietly. Professor James nodded his head, and motioned everyone to enter.

"With your Species and Ranks, it is quite already known that Alphas and those in the place of Leaders are more in charge of everyone else, please respect this, and respect them. Alphas, please get along well. We do not want anything bad to happen. And at last, have a good night everyone, I hope you all settle well!"

Everyone filled into the living room and looked around, though Rowan just sat in a chair off to the side and watched everyone. Many of them would glance at him every few minutes, but he didn't care at this point. It has been happening all evening, he would have to get used to it.
