I hummed my favorite song as I rode my bike to Andy's Ice Cream Bowl. That place was great! You could literally get lost in there looking for what to get. Rocky Road, Super Mountain Twist, or my favourite Double Rich Chocolate.

But, today I was craving just a plain chocolate cone. Turning up Panic! At the Disco, I sang along to the words as I crossed the street narrowly missing a dumb driver. "Stupid Idiot!" I yelled as he gave me a nasty glare.

Whatever, I was not going to let some dude ruin my day. Parking my bike, I took off my helmet, locked the bike up, and headed into the shop humming to myself.

I opened the door and smiled as the familiar jingle of a bell rang when I walked in. "Good afternoon, Allie! Should I make you your usual?" Lucas, Mr. Andy's son asked me.

Shaking the loose brown curls from my face I smiled widely showing off my braces. "One chocolate cone please!" I spoke as I stepped up to my place in line.

"Make that two!" A deep husky voice drifted from behind me. I turned around and stared wide eyed at none other than Nate Millerson the schools 'bad' boy!

His blonde hair was cut to the side, his blue greyish eyes were something you could get lost in, and his black nerd glasses were sitting on his face so perfectly.

I took a deep breath and opened my mouth. "Actually just one please!" I said again. Nate looked at me before handing Lucas the money. Giving me my ice cream he whispered in my ear, "Think of it as paying forward".

I stood rooted to my spot as Nate left the ice cream shop. Thanking Lucas, I turned sharply on my heel and left. When I was outside sitting on a bench I let out a breath I didn't realize I had been holding. 'Darn, why did Nate have to make me feel that way?' I thought to myself.

Drip, drip, drip. Horrified I looked down to see my ice cream starting to slowly melt. Licking up the last drops, I crunched on the cone and prepared myself for the bike ride home.

"Mum, I'm home!" I called I stepped into our mansion. My parents were the owners of 'Silverman's Hotel and Restaurant' so they made millions of dollars.

"Upstairs sweetie!" Came my mum's voice from her office. I dropped my helmet, quickly took off my tennis shoes, and ran upstairs to be greeted by a warm hug smelling of rosemary and cinnamon.

"How was your ice cream?" Mum asked while sipping her tea. Blushing slightly I answered partly the truth. "The usual, I got chocolate instead" I said tying my hair into a messy bun.

My mum raised her eyebrow. "Anything else?" She gestured to my blushing face. I shook my head quickly and made way to get out of the room.

"I... uh got to go....um study for my calculus test tomorrow!" Turning around I headed for my room. "Oh! And please call me when dinner is ready mum!" I shouted and turned the door knob.

Closing the door behind me, I scanned my room. It was fairly big, with a 10x15 square feet. Pushed against the wall was my king size bed with my soft purple comforter. The purple bean bags that I 'had' to have for my 16th birthday were across from my bed. The white dresser and walk in closet were to the right of my purple desk.

Sighing, I flipped through my calculus book until I found the chapter we were working on. For some reason I found it hard to concentrate even though I was a wiz at math. "Argh, stupid Nate and your paying forward!" I grumbled.

Pushing the thoughts out of my head I continued to study until mum called us down for dinner, with news that blew my mind.
