All around the land of _____, new was spreading of a new law. The Iron King had decreed all acts of mercenary forbidden. He ordered all guilds to disband with promise of was on any who did not comply. Many obeyed their King and quickly dismissed all members, but some older guilds refused.
The King swiftly brought his armies down to fight and was almost successful, but there was one group that the King's men could not defeat. A small clan of mercenaries, calling themselves The Order of Death, refused to go down in any battle. War waged for days as the professional foreces of the kingdom fought against the trained expert of assassins and mercenaries.
After a straight week of fighting, only the leader of the Order remained. Known only as The Grim, he single handedly slew the entire remains of the royal armies. He then fled as the last mercenary remaining after the King's assault. No one officially knows where The Grim resides, but it is rumored that a secret society of mercenaries outside of the King's grasp.
A location has never been disclosed, however when one is in need of death and is willing to pay, they wll always find a collector.
