"There's no fucking way he chose her!" Lillie practically screamed at the tv.

"Lillie! We're going to get another noise complaint!" I looked at her, seriousness plastered across my face; well, that is until we both couldn't help but burst into laughter.

It was a tradition to watch the Bachelor every Monday night with her, but sadly this was the last episode of this season.

"I'll go get more snacks." I say as I pat my disappointed bestfriend on the shoulder, and skip over to the kitchen.

I slightly jump as I hear a loud knock at the door, almost dropping my newly popped bowl of popcorn. I wasn't expecting anyone this late.

It's 7:54, who could be here?

Mine or Lillie's parents weren't visiting because of work, and even if they needed to get in, they had keys to the apartment. Maybe it's a package..

"I got it!" I yell loud enough for Lillie to hear as she drowns herself in her tears and anger. It was honestly the sight to see. I lightly chuckle to myself at her childness.

I walk past her and make my way down the hallway towards the front door. I didn't bother to look through the peep hole, because I'm sure whoever it is won't take too long.

I open the door, and am almost ecstatic when I see my life long old friend.

"Grayson?!" I smile. I quickly set the bowl on the counter next to me and grab his shoulders to pull him into a tight hug, basically squeezing the life out of him. He lightly chuckles into my neck.

"Hey, Bella."

We pull apart, and his smile seemed to fade pretty quickly. I shrug it off.

"What are you doing here— and this late?" A little confusion in my voice.

"Bella.. I—"

"..Gray?" My tone coated with concern.

He took a short pause, finding the right words to say.

"—It's Ethan." He removes his eyes from the floor, to meet mine.

"Ethan?" I scoff. "He's not my problem anymore, Gray." I cross my arms.

"Listen Bell, I know you're upset, an-and I completely understand." He rushes his last words, making sure I'm still interested in what he's saying.

He pauses and sighs.

"Could I just come in? I just need to say what I need to say, and I'll leave right after."

I take a deep breath and contemplate. I feel bad for letting out my anger on him, but Ethan is still such a sensitive subject for me now a days.

I open the door wider, signaling to invite him in. He smiles at me, then quickly walks into my shared apartment.

"Who's here?!" Lillie shouts through the house.

Grayson walks in, now in plain view for her. She looks over and almost jumps out of her seat when she sees him.

"Gray?!" she quickly walks towards him, and pulls him in for a hug. Grayson deepens the hug and Lillie laughs in astonishment.
