A woman who smelled like vanilla led me to a room with a huge, steel door. She told me to sit down and that someone would come and talk to me soon. I sat on the chair farthest from the door and waited. Soon enough, a man wearing a grey suit walked in the room. After him, a blonde woman wearing a red blouse and a dark grey pencil-skirt.

"Hello Summer," The man said sitting down, "I'm detective Chambers. I'm here to ask you a few questions about where you have been the last two months." I stayed silent. "So, to begin, are you alright? If not, we can come back to this after the nurse checks you out."

"I'm fine," I answered.

"Are you sure?" I nodded impatiently. "Okay, well, that's good. Now, where were you the day you went missing? We already know from one of the other teen's parents that you slept over at... Dallas Timberly's house? Is that correct?"

"Yes," I said quietly.

"But what about after that? You all left the house early in the morning, correct?"

"Yeah," I began, "We went out into Cotter Woods..."

"Why's that?" He asked, leaning in.

I hesitated, but decided to tell him the truth, "To find Emily Whites's friends."

"E-Emily Whites?" The man cleared his throat, "Her friends who went missing in 1994?"

"Correct."

"Um, and you've been out there since?" He got back on track.

"We were only out there for one day, sir. We were going to be back by dinnertime... but she took them..." I trailed off.

"Who? Who took your friends, Summer?"

Once again, I hesitated, "A demon. Her name is Cotter and she is awful. She disguises herself as some sort of goddess, but she's an evil demon!"

The man looked at the woman who was standing by the door. She raised her eyebrows at him. "Okay, well..."

"I'm not lying, sir. She wouldn't let my friends live if I didn't come out and tell my parents not to go in! She was going to kill Avery first! They're out there! With Jess and Evan and possibly Layla!" I stopped myself. I sounded crazy. I was telling the truth, but I sounded crazy.

"That's all we need, thank you." The man said, getting up and leaving the room with the woman.
