chapter 4

I sat in the huge empty office it was all the way to the top of the building it had a great view of downtown L.A the secretary said that mister styles would be with me any minute, my phone wouldn’t stop buzzing I checked it and there were 16 miss calls from Jacob and a few from rose I did not know what was going on but I cant handle it right now I waited so long for a job interview so I just turned it of for now “I’m sorry to keep you waiting miss Collins I needed to handle something” a husky deep voice spoke from behind me

“no i-its fine” I said nervously I had an awful feeling and my heart was just pounding really hard

“well miss Collins I was doing some research and I saw that you were a strait A’s and B student also that you had a perfect attendance in collage “he said walking from behind me to his desk and I was just fiddling with my fingers “yes, sir” I said looking up at him and my green/brown eyes met his emerald green once and it was really weird I got shivers and I noticed he felt it to but quickly recovered.

I swear I have seen him before but I don’t know when or where

“oh, please call me harry” he smiled “now miss Collins, why do you want to work in styles publishing?”I gulped and nod “well I graduated as an English major because I want to become a writer so I figured I should start with publishing and then work along that” I answered and he nodded “okay miss Collins well first I you will be assigned as my personal secretary and then after if I see you are worth to take care of the heavier work of reading a few scripts that writers send in and see if they are worth it or not “he smiled but I was not quiet sure if it was a sincere smile it kind of seemed forced her seems like a very serious man, looks a bit too young to be the owner of such a big company, I nodded to what he just said I was actually hoping to start reading the scripts immediately but I guess I can wait a job is a job “okay that would be great…so when do I start?” I asked and he smirked “Monday Jenna will give you the rest of the details” he said getting up “okay thank you, nice meeting you” I said and got up, he stuck out his hand and I took it and shook it, there were those Goosebumps again, and this time I’m more than positive he felt them to I immediately took my hand away and he cleared his throat “it was my pleasure miss Collins” he said opining the door and I walked away to the elevator and went down when as soon as the elevator door closed I let out a heavy breath that I did not even know I was holding in after a few seconds the elevator door opened and I went to the girl who I guess was Jenna and she told me I started everyday at 8:30 starting Monday and that on Monday she would tell me exactly what I had to do, I nodded and turned my phone back on as soon as I did it started vibrating again, mister styles came through the elevator door and was walking straight to me “miss Collins, you forgot this in my office” he said giving me the handbag rose gave me I forgot I even had that she gave it to me this morning for good luck and she knew I would get the job so she said I could wear that everyday to work, I nodded and took the bag off of his hands “aren’t you going to get that?” he said referring to my vibrating phone, and I nodded I swear around him I don’t know how I will do if I cant manage to do anything else than nod

“Hello?” I knew it was Jacob but I don’t know why he was calling me right now

“chlo, where have you been all day!? I have been calling you none stop “I sight not wanting to handle what ever he has to say right now

“well I was in a job interview you could just chill down Jake” I said annoyed, mister styles was looking at me very carefully as if he was studying my every move

“chloe” he sight “dad is in the hospital” my heart dropped I knew that something was wrong but I did not know it was that bad, earlier today I got a bad feeling but I could not put my finger on what it was, I was silent and staring at nothing I felt my tears filling my eyes

“Jacob I’m all the way down town I cant get there in time….i-I don’t know what to do, I can call rose but I don’t know where she is to pick me up” he sight and told me to keep calm and that they will be okay and that I had to try to get to the hospital as soon as possible and we hung up, I forgot mister styles was still there “is everything okay?” he asked concerned I shook my head holding back my tear I did not want to cry in front of him not right now “if you want I could drive you to were you need to go?” he asked and I shook my head again “ no thank you I couldn’t do that but thank you” I said and walked to the door

He took my upper arm and held me close “it’s okay I want to” he said and all I could do is smell his fragrance that smelled like heaven I nodded not wanting to argue with him he looks really intimidating to argue with

“Ian can you get my car for me please, and hurry up” he said to the guy at the desk outside he nodded and ran to I don’t know where “so where do you need to go? And what happened if you don’t mind me asking” now I noticed he had a thick British accent and I took everything in me to answer “the hospital, and my dad was rushed to the hospital I don’t know what happened” I said holding back my tears “it’s okay” he said and out of nowhere he hugged me tight and wrapped his arms around me protectively I did not say anything and just let it be I felt so safe in his arms…so warm
