The Unknown

Chapter 1

Cautiously I woke up, The pain in my arm was excruciating. Suddenly a small, elderly and fragile man appeared, a shiver went down my spine and I felt my fingers trembling. Where am I? What am I doing here? I want answers, although I'm not getting any I have high hopes that I will escape. Remarkably he disappeared, his moves left me in silence and tensed. I don't know how I got here, I quickly scanned my surroundings hoping to find an exit, the room is old, dark and uninviting. After failing to find an exit I tried to remember what happened before I woke up. Then it struck me like lightening, I was walking on the streets. It was around 10:00pm and I had chosen to walk home up a dark ally. I was coming home from a friends house when I heard mumbling and leaves crackling. Frightened I walked faster and faster until I left the world for a moment, I had felt my head touch the ground as I lost consciousness. Now I'm here, stranded here. No way out! I thought about the man I saw, Why does he want me? Suddenly the chains around my arms attached to the wall fall. I feel a warm presence around me but I cant see anyone, the lights flicker on and off giving me the hint something is coming. Preparing for the thing to come I stand up straight lifting my hand to my hips. Then I get my glimpse of it. A little girl, running somewhere, blood trickling down her face as well as her tears burning down her face like fire. Before I have a chance to call to her she gone. Then something became clear, she wasn't running at normal speed. She was 100 times faster. I'm nowhere near home, that's been hinted out. I run about the room looking for something, I'll know what I'm looking for when I find it. Then something catches my eye. A hole in the wall big enough to be a door, Before I leave I pick up something that looks like a dagger. Thinking it will offer some protection I slide it carefully into my belt. Then slowly but bravely walk out regretting taking that dark ally as a way home. When I get out the door, I'm in a corridor, again its big infested and dark. Will I ever get home? My head drops to my knees and I feel the painful sting of tears. I thought I have to stay strong if I'm going to get out of here alive. Leaving the ground I stand up straighter once again. Then the girl runs again, this time she's on a shelf on the opposite side of the corridor. Terror took over me. My first in stink was to run but I knew how fast she could run. Instead I stand there, completely frozen with terror. She doesn't leap out at me, in fact she just stares at me. Her eyes are pure red, her skin is pale white, her teeth are long and she is soaking. Pulling myself together I blurt out "What do you want from me?"

She doesn't do anything, she opens her mouth as if to say something then closes it. I want answers and that's what I'll find, answers. "I said what do you want from me!?" I yell. She shuffles around a little then smiles, "Me and my master want to finish your clan" She quietly says. I didn't understand what she meant by clan, but she had given me a new hope. I asked for a nice room to stay in and she gladly replies. My room was still dark, but there was a purple bed, a seat and a table with a laptop on it. Just what I wanted, I half run half stumble to the laptop and search up my second name. There was no clan but there was a past to it. My mum and her friends were outside playing, when they all home one girl took the ally home. It looked like the one I took to get myself here. Then it said in huge letters at the bottom "LOST GIRL LAST SEEN ON ALLY WALKING HOME!" Wanting more information I searched up, lost girls in 1980. Only 1 girl came up, I looked at the name it read "UNKNOWN" I nearly fell off my seat with terror. It was her, the lost girl. Everything was becoming clear, the girl was 14 when she went missing. That's the same age as me! Confused and uneasy I got to bed and I finally get to sleep.
