The hanyou and his friends, the miko, the monk, the slayer, and the kitsune yokai walked carefully through the forest. They were getting desperate. The miko, Kagome was trying immensely hard to sense some sort of a feeling for a jewel shard. The monk, Miroku, sensed a demonic aura nearby, a powerful demonic aura. He was about to warn his friends when the hanyou, Inuyasha took a sniff of the air. The scent he picked up was all too familiar, though he couldn't place where he knew it from. The slayer, Sango, and her demon, Kirara, walked with the kitsune yokai, Shippo, observing their friends' strange behavior.
Suddenly, Kagome began sensing a jewel shard. A small one at that, but a jewel shard no less.
"Guys, I'm sensing a jewel shard!" she cheered happily for her find. Inuyasha and Miroku already seemed to know, and dismissed her. "Guys?" she tried again, gaining no response.
"Come out, wherever you're hiding!" Inuyasha yelled to whatever familiar scent was out there.
Abruptly, a blur of black and white and gold dropped down in front of them. "I heard somewhere that you were looking for these," the person spoke tossing a jewel shard towards Inuyasha. He stared at her, wide-eyed and open-mouthed, while she smirked. It lasted a second longer before he broke out into a grin and ran to hug her. She was surprised by his sudden outburst, and awkwardly wrapped her arms around him as well.
"Was I gone that long?" she asked him sweetly.
"If one hundred years isn't long, than no," he mocked her, moving away from her. The girl opened her mouth to retaliate but was cut off by the slayer.
"If you don't mind my asking, who are you?" Sango wondered, equally as astonished that Inuyasha was being so affectionate towards someone other than Kagome.
The girl, once again, opened her mouth to answer when Inuyasha spoke for her.
"This, is my sister."
犬夜叉
The group had decided to return to the village to rest their weak muscles, though Inuyasha's sister was itching for some action. On the way there, they discussed things, and Inuyasha and his sister caught up with each other.
"So, what's your name?" Kagome questioned softly. Being honest, she had felt a pang of jealousy stab through her when Inuyasha had first ran and hugged her. Though, after hearing that she was his sister, she felt very silly for allowing herself to feel that way.
"I am Shiukori. And I'm only his half-sister, unfortunately. Sesshoumaru is my twin brother, though I've always been closer with Inuyasha," explained the strange girl. Miroku took a moment to appreciate her beauty. She was fair and small, though reasonably muscular. Her long, silvery, white hair was trapped away and held firmly in place by a strong braid. She was wearing a black piece of clothing that he remembered Kagome telling him was a jacket. It was decorated beautifully with glittery swirls of gold. She had long, thigh high black boots that were lined with the same glittery gold. Instead of wearing a skirt or pair of pants, she had a skin-tight pair of what he remembered were called shorts. Shiukori seemed like a kind soul to him, but she also seemed as though she had far too much power than she knew what to do with.
"Geez, what was growing up with Sesshoumaru like?" Shippo wondered sarcastically.
"Not bad, actually," Shiukori mumbled fondly, more to herself than a response to Shippo.
"Where did you get those modern looking clothes?" Kagome questioned.
"What?" Shiukori really had absolutely no idea what she was talking about.
