CHAPTER 9

AVERY'S POV. (Is this her first POV? I wasn't paying attention lol)

I woke up again at about 4:30 am. I tried to sit up and realized Quinn was sleeping next to me with her arms around my waist. I got up careful not to wake her up, but I wasn't really worried because she sleeps like a dead person. Once I got out of the bed I waked over to where our begs were and picked up my acoustic guitar and walked downstairs. I knew I had the house to myself for a while so I decided to play my guitar downstairs. I decided I wanted to play a Taylor Swift song that I taught myself to play.

"I'm five years old
It's getting cold
I've got my big coat on

I hear your laugh
And look up smiling at you

Past the pumpkin patch
And the tractor rides

I know I'm laughing on the car ride home with you

But I know I had the best day
With you today

I have an excellent father
His strength is making me stronger
God smiles on my little brother
Inside and out
He's better than I am

I grew up in a pretty house
And I had space to run
And I had the best days with you

I found from back when I was three
You set up a paint set in the kitchen
And you're talking to me

Now I know why all the trees change in the fall

I let out a big sigh, trying to keep the tears in. That song always reminded me of my own mother who, of coarse, is no longer here with me. I remember the last day I had with her.

FLASHBACK

Today I'm going to park with my mommy!!! Daddy has to work and mommy got the day off so she taking me, Gavin, Dallas and Jade to the park! Gavin is almost to big for the park, cause he's 8! I'm 6!! I turning 7 in a week! Dallas is a baby. He's only 4. Jade is big though! She's 13! That's old! Jade is my hero. She loves to take me with her when her friends go to the mall! She's teaching me to play the guitar! I can barely get my hand around the strings but that's normal right? Me and Jade look a lot a like... or that's what everyone says!! We both have curly blond hair and green eyes!! My mom says I'm a trouble maker! I'm not though!

"Avery! Let's go on the slide, come on!" I heard Jade say

I ran over to her and jumped into her arms.

"I love you, Jade!" I said randomly

"I love you more little one." She said kissing my head.
