[Narrator] POV

“But dad I don’t understand why I have to stay with Uncle at Daegu!” Taehyung shouted at his father with a strong glare. “Don’t understand? Kim Taehyung are you stupid? You have continuously skipped classes, at this point you will never graduate college. Neither have you bothered to earn money for yourself. Do you know how much money I have spent just to let you have food on your plate and let you sleep with a roof over your head?” Taehyung’s father looked back at his son with pure disappointment. How could a chairman of such high class let his son take large amounts of money every week just so he could use it to his own enjoyment. “This is not fair. Take my phone away, ground me and even starve me! I am not leaving to Daegu!” The son started throwing a tantrum, causing a disruption in the neighbourhood. “I already told the housekeeper to pack your bags. Unlike you I thought ahead, we have a train to catch tonight at 7:30.” “We? Going to Daegu is bad enough now you are coming as well!” Taehyung scoffed. “I’m only staying one night to make sure you don’t bail on me. Think positively. I’m taking this chance to teach you some discipline. You, my son, will be going to work at Uncle’s restaurant for three months.” Taehyung’s father crosser his arms and made his way to his office.

Taehyung took a moment to process what just happened and layer back on his bed. Eyebrows furrowed and lips pouting. It has been 3 years since Taehyung last visited his hometown, Daegu. After his parents divorce he had never step foot in that area, Taehyung's father took his son into his arms and moved to the big city of Seoul. Time flew by and it was soon 7:30. Taehyung and his father were now boarding the train and putting their belongings on the rack that carried tons of other baggage. The ride was silent. Not a single word left Taehyung as he looked out the window only finding a dark sky. Taehyung couldn't remember the last time he visited Daegu or why he left with his dad. In the end if he did remember his past in Daegu it might not be the brightest memory. It was late at night when they both arrived. Taehyung’s father called a taxi and once they arrived they were greeted to a crowded village. Amongst the sea of people was a small restaurant built into an apartment.

The restaurant was occupied with red tables and chairs. Meals were being delivered at lightning speed. The sound of soju bottles clinking and families eating there dinner was a beautiful sight, it was almost soothing for Taehyung. Suddenly a tall and broad frame stood in front of Taehyung. His stomach was almost hanging out of his belt and he wore a white polo almost drenched in sweat. When the two met eyes the man’s pupils expanded and cracked a smile. “You grew so well my little Taehyungie~ Look at you, all tall and handsome.” The man started chuckling to himself and patted Taehyung’s head. “U-Uncle?” “Yes! It’s me is this the right way to greet your elder?” Taehyung soon found himself buried into his uncle’s chest surrounded by his warm arms. Memories from when he was little flooded his head. “I’m just so happy to see you again.” Taehyung fell back into his uncle’s arms and embraced him even harder. Soon his uncle released him and couldn’t help but smile like a fool. “Hmm? Now, I suppose you have a girlfriend. Considering how handsome you are.” Taehyung shook his head and earned a laugh from both hi father and uncle. Later all three went to the apartment which was just above the restaurant. Taehyung’s father and uncle both talked about how Taehyung would be working and started to settle down for the night. However Taehyung completely ignored everyone and walked downstairs.

The place was crowded with customers and staff who all seemed lost in their own world. Even through a swarm of people someone caught Taehyung’s attention. A girl. She looked around his age and had beautiful sun kissed skin. Her hair had beautiful, black curls that reached her shoulder. A small face that brought out her dark brown eyes and soft plump lips. The girl was dressed in an oversized hoodie and denim shorts. Taehyung slowly approached her through the ocean of people, and ever so lightly tapped her shoulder. “Oh, hello. Is there any problem? I’ll come right to your table.” Her voice was angelic and harmonic. It was a voice that brought smiles and happiness to one another. "I’m not a customer… er.. I-I’m the owner's nephew.” Taehyung found himself intrigued by the foreign atmosphere that she brought. “Oh! He told me so much about you. Let’s be friends then, boss told me we were the same age. Y/N. Moon Y/N. That’s my name and you?” Y/N smiled so brightly and made Taehyung’s heart flutter. “Taehyung. Kim Taehyung. Y-Yea let’s be friends.” There were so many emotions in Taehyung’s head currently.

They said their introductions and Y/N went back to working whilst Taehyung prepared for bed. Thoughts about Y/N flooded Taehyung, which made him wonder why he was thinking so much about her. Was there even any reason for me to be thinking of her, we just met today, Taehyung thought to himself. Soon he fell asleep and awaited another day in Daegu.
