Percy
"Percy, I think we need to talk about something." Vaisey stated, approaching me.
"Wh—" I began before getting cut off by another voice.
Sirius appeared on my other side,"Did you tell Vaisey, Percy?"
I shook my head,"Not yet."
"Tell me what?" Vaisey demanded, a tone of worry in his voice.
Sirius clapped me on the shoulder,"I'll see you later. Harry and I'll be back tomorrow afternoon."
Then he left. Gee, what a caring uncle, but I understood. Harry and Sirius were spending the night at the Dursley's. Dumbledore explained that Harry had to go back once a year until his seventeenth birthday to reinstate the spell placed for his protection. A holiday visit was the perfect cover.
"Tell me what, Percy?" Vaisey asked again, a little desperate.
I smiled at him,"Nothing bad, don't worry."
Vaisey just bit his lip fearfully,"What then?"
"Just that we have the house to ourselves tonight." I assured him,"Sirius and Harry are going to visit his relatives for the night, and they'll be back tomorrow. Don't worry, my cousins are next door if anything bad happens."
The tension in his shoulders visibly deflated,"That's fine, its only one night. Unless you do something."
The tease had me wrinkling my nose,"Why do you think I'd do something?"
"It'd obviously not be me." Vaisey grinned.
I rolled my eyes, shoving him a little,"What did you want to talk about?"
"Oh, nothing." He deflected smoothly.
I raised an eyebrow at him, following him into the kitchen,"You sounded serious."
Vaisey shrugged, grabbing something out of the pantry,"Nothing really. Just wondering about your cat. Have you noticed she glows sometimes?"
I frowned,"What do you mean?"
"Vaisey looked at me confused,"I forgot, it's usually when you're asleep. She starts glowing a light, unnoticeable blue. It's only when you're tossing and turning though, so if you're psychologically connected to your cat, you forgot to tell me."
I frowned, and shook my head. That was weird. I did notice she started to act a bit more different after the Quidditch game. She'd growl at anyone that'd come near me, unless they were friends. The hair on her back would stand up when she grew angry, and I'd see her shape disfigure and grow an inch or two bigger. I feel like my cousins had something to do with it, but otherwise Sally was normal.
"Hey, Percy?" Vaisey's voice breaking me from my thoughts.
"Yeah?"
He turned towards me holding a piece of parchment,"What's the Order?"
I furrowed my eyebrows,"Why?"
Vaisey handed me the parchment,"Its from Sirius. Said that they're coming for a meeting tonight."
I waved my hand dismissively. In my hand, the paper crumbled to ashes as I cast a spell involving fire. Vaisey stared at me in awe. I chuckled, and cast another spell on the kitchen. Instantly, the utensils came to life, cooking what Vaisey had started. Within minutes, our lunch was steaming on the stove ready to be eaten.
"You've got to teach me how to do that."
I laughed,"Why? I like seeing your reaction way too much."
