“This is kidnapping, do you know that?! Where are you taking me?” Angelina’s hands were outstretched in front of her. Her eyes had been blind folded and Alicia and Katie flanked her sides. Angelina’s attempt to sleep until 1:00 pm had been thwarted by her friends who forced her out of bed and who now had her blind folded.
“You didn’t expect to sleep away half your birthday did you?” Katie asked. Angelina groaned.
“That was the intention Katie.” Angelina heard a door creak open and she was hurriedly pushed inside then the door closed.
“Are you ready?”
“Ready for what?”
Alicia pulled her blind fold off and she was greeted by a loud “SURPRISE!” They had taken her to the Hogs Head in Hogsmeade. They had even decorated the pub in Tutshill Tornados colours and had a banner which read “Happy Birthday MVP”. There were balloons that sang Happy Birthday Angelina in her friends voices (compliments of WWW) and all her friends were packed inside, even Aberforth was present and wearing a party hat. His blue eyes, so like his brother’s, twinkled merrily.
“The pub is yours for the day! Drink responsibly.”
She was soon engulfed in hugs and people came over to wish her happy birthday and congratulate her on winning the quidditch cup. They knocked back fire whiskey and butterbeer and played a rousing game of charades.
“O.k. O.k., who am I? I would rather be killed than get an E in my owls! You have the emotional range of a tea spoon Ronald!” Ron mimicked Hermione’s voice perfectly. Lee roared with laughter.
“Good one Ron, Hermione?” Dean asked. Ron nodded then looked around the room for his girlfriend. She was no where in sight. He frowned.
“Where the bloody hell is she anyways?” he asked. As if summoned by Ron’s voice, Hermione burst through the door with a number of tickets in her hand. She was grinning from ear to ear.
“Where the ruddy hell have you been?” Ron asked as he watched her approach the group. Hermione rolled her eyes and began speaking.
“I won us ten muggle tickets to the Caribbean!” She beamed brightly at them. Katie and Alicia screamed. Angelina had to cover her ears, even though she was grinning too.
“That’s awesome Hermione, where exactly are we going?” Angelina asked.
“Pack your sun tan lotions because we are going to Jamaica Mon! We will be staying at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, all expense paid.
“How did you land those tickets?” Lee asked. Hermione frowned.
“The muggle way, you wouldn’t get it.” It was Lee’s turn to frown. Katie giggled.
“So when is this trip? I run a business remember?” George said hopping off the table.
“In two days,” Hermione said casually. George’s eyes bulged a little.
“Two days??! Who am I going to get to run the shop on such short notice?”
“Mum will do it. She gets tired of knitting all day anyways.” Ginny answered. George grinned.
“Anyways, it’s great news but it’s time for the birthday girl to cut the cake,” Alicia said pulling the cover off the cake. The cake was decorated like a quidditch pitch and had the number 20 on it.
“So who’s cutting the cake with me?” she asked not taking her eyes off the cake.
“I will” “I will” George and Oliver looked at each other and the rest of the friends looked at them. Angelina cleared her throat.
“Georgie do you mind helping me with something real quick?” Jennifer asked after a moment of icy silence. George sighed and Oliver moved over to Angelina.
“Looks like your girlfriend needs a little help Weasley.”
George forced himself to not retort with a “she’s not my girlfriend,” but even he had to admit that they might as well call it that. Even Jennifer thought they were together.
By the time George got back from helping Jennifer (to re-tie the bow at the back of her dress) Oliver and Angelina had already cut the cake and Oliver was busy sucking icing off her fingers. He felt his blood boil.
He would make everything right on this vacation.
