-Lorianna's POV-

My fingertips slowly ran around the torn and ripped edges of the photograph, a sad smile stretching across my face. I stared intently as a tear drop fell onto the image, and slid down towards the end. It taking a minute on the edge before dripping off, onto the floor.
"Im sorry..." I whispered to my mother. My eyes wandered over to her chair, where she usually sat, only not today. She hasnt sat there in 5 years. I havent heard her voice in 5 years. I guess im hoping she can hear my apology, and know how guilty I am.

"Lorianne!" A sweet, familiar voice interuppted my sad thoughts. I swiftly jumped up, wiping my tears.
I ran upstairs, 3 steps at a time, storming into my room. My journal was placed in it's usual hiding spot, under a ripped hole in the carpet.
I found myself trying to get my bearings, and then walking downstairs to find Audrey already in my house.
Audrey is my best friend. Always has been, always will be. We've known each other since elementary school. I still remember the day perfectly, although even she doesn't know what really happened to my mother.

"Have fun on your first day of school!" My mother scooped me into a hug, with a gentle peck on the cheek.
I smiled and bounced towards the bus stop, exilirated for my first day.
I was so excited I didn't notice the other young girl skipping towards the bus.
I ended up bumping into her and dropping my lunchbox, my vanilla pudding spattering all over the ground, as well as a smushed PB&J sandwich.
"I'm so sorry!" She shrieked, my ear drums officially gone.
"Now I have no lunch!" I yelled, upset I won't get to eat my pudding.
"We can share mine!" She said, checking her lunchbox.
I smiled and nodded.
"Sure! I'm Lorianne!" I chirped, standing on my toes, then rolling back to my heels.
"Audrey! Can I call you Lori? Lorianne is too long!"
"Sure!" I giggled, excited for my new friend.

"Hey Audrey, you know there's this thing called knocking!" I said, rolling my eyes.
"Ehh... Never heard of it." She said, opening her laptop.
"Whatever. Let's just get some recordings done" I set up my laptop, opening up all the essential programs to record.
"Skype call with Mat and Preston, join!" She burst out yelling.
"I'm right next to you!" I shrieked back into her ear, it not even phasing her.
"Hey guys, Battledome with friends?" Mat's voice said through the Skype.

Me and Audrey met Mat and Preston through YouTube. They each have a channel with a decent amount of subscribers while our channel has about 1,000,000 and still rising.

"Sure" I beamed, jumping onto the server.
"Alright teams?" Audrey asked.
"Audrey, Mat, Preston, Lori, and Mitch on one team"
"Ty, Adam, Jerome, Ian, and me on the other" Rob said.
"Got it!" I nodded, setting up my recording software.
"Up down left right"
We all synced our voice and video, getting ready to record.

We did the usual, get iron, gold, arrows, everything needed.
I found diamonds and decided to make a diamond pick, not telling the others.
I wanted to sneak over to the base and mine the obsidian, even suprising my own team.
Audrey knew because she was sitting right next to me, so she was having a hard time keeping it secret.
"Alright guys, let's stay defense" Mitch said and we all agreed.
Me and Audrey had a plan for her to be bait, and leur everyone towards her.
This would force our team to also jump out, causing a war, which would give me a distraction to sneak away.
"Guys I fell!" Audrey yelled, as the opposing team chased her.
"Audrey! My gawddd!" Mitch yelled, placing water. They all leaped into the water, going to battle.
I followed but went the other way, towards the base. I stacked up and began mining the obsidian, eventually breaking it.
"GG" I whispered to Audrey. She grinned and leaped into lava.
"What in the world Audrey?!" Mat said.
"You cactus!" Preston yelled.
I leaped off the base, causing the chat to say Loriannecangame fell from a high place
"Lori!" Mitch yelled, slamming his desk as he was killed.
Me and Audrey erupted into giggles as the other team thought they won.
"We lost guys! Why are you happy?" Preston yelled.
"I broke datt obsidiannnnn" I smirked and they all were so confused.
"It was me and Lori's plan all along" Audrey said and the Skype call erupted into laughter.
We told the opposing team, and could picture their reactions.

*At School*

I glanced down at my outfit. A tank top that showed some of my stomach, and a mini skirt. I exhaled, as I slipped on the uncomfortable sandals. I caked my face in the usual make up, trying to cover up any and all flaws.
I walked out of the school bathroom, after gussying up, and met up with my friends at the football field.
"Lori!!! Audrey!!" Madelyn approached us, her fake smile covering her fake face.
We grinned, sitting down next to our boyfriends.
Audrey sitting next to Eric, me next to Cody.
"Morning babe" he whispered into my ear, sending chills down my spine.
Cody was cute, but not my type.
But when your trying to be something your not, everything changes.

*HISTORY CLASS*

The only sounds of the hallway me and Audrey walked was the click-clack of Audrey's wedges on the tile, echoing in my ears.
We walked into the history classroom, trying not to get noticed by the teacher.
"Do you have a note?" The teacher asked and I shook my head.
"Sorry Mrs. Locke, we were walking down the hallways when two people would not walk any faster. We were too nice to ask them to move." Audrey threw on her charm, and the teacher smiled.
"It's alright. Take a seat."
We sat behind Madelyn and Amelia and I examined the room, immediately noticing two new guys.
I leaned over towards Audrey, whispering in her ear.
"New students" I said and she bit her lip.
"There in for a treat" she rolled her eyes and I nodded.
"Please come introduce yourselves!" The teacher said, while they made their way up front.
When they turned around I held my breath, staring over at Audrey.
Her mouth formed an "O" and immediately shut her mouth.
"Well I'm Preston Arsement"
"And I'm Mat Nooch"
They told us a little about themselves and then made their way back to their seats.
"They've never seen our face... They won't know..." I whispered.
"Just don't talk to them... They will recognize our voice" Audrey recommended and I agreed, not being able to keep my eyes off of them.
"But... What if we do..." I trailed off.
"Lori. You know we can't be ourself..." she cut me off and I nodded.
"Your right."

I scrolled through twitter while the teacher blabbed on about some old guy.
Some tweets read things like,

"Show your face please!"
"We really want to know what you look like!"

I sighed and turned off twitter.

I was so caught up in thinking about the situation that I didn't even notice when the bell rang.

I got up slowly, and swung my book bag around accidentally hitting somebody.
I turned around to apologize but stopped when I noticed It was Preston.

I immediately turned around and quickly paced to meet up with Audrey at our locker.

"Can't be yourself..." I mumbled over and over, along the way.
