Twins?!?

Fleur's POV

We're going in for our first ultrasound today. I'm super nervous that something is going to be wrong with the baby or something. I'm 16 weeks along, and the doctor said they won't be able to tell me the gender yet, but I'll be able to get pictures of my baby and all that.

"Baby are you ready to go? I know all the nurses will want to see your ring so we should probably head out a little early." I've been engaged to Bill for two weeks and it's been heaven. I can't believe that this is actually working out. I guess we'll find out more when we see the doctor and find out more about the baby, but as long as the baby's healthy that's all that matters to me.

"I'm ready if you are. Don't forget we have to run by the store after my appointment, we ran out of a few things last night." Thankfully when I finished the first trimester my morning sickness subsided for the most part, but my cravings have been ruling over me.

Apparating has been making me sick, so we've been traveling by cars. Any fast, jerking movements makes me sick, so floo powder has been bugging me too. Its bugger but its temporary so I guess I can deal with it. Plus it's probably better for peanut to travel by car or broom. I've become so conscious of everything since I got pregnant, I just want the baby to be healthy and happy.

"I know princess. I got the list off the fridge. Anything else to add to it?" Bill has been so incredible, he's so excited and so ready to prepare for the baby. He's so ready to be a dad, I think once we get closer to my delivery he'll get nervous. He'll be a wonderful father though, he's compassionate and loving.

Everything goes normal until it doesn't. Bill and I both notice it on our technicians face look shocked for a second before she turns to us. "Well, that's the head, and that's the other head." What?!?

"Excuse me?" She must be kidding.

"Congratulations, it looks like you're having twins. Here's baby A's head, and their legs, and feet. Here's baby B's head, and here's their bottom. We won't be able to tell the gender for another few weeks, but they both look healthy. Congratulations again, the doctor will be in soon."

"Twins! Baby we're having twins! Peanut and pecan!" I honestly can't help but giggle at that. That explains why I've been eating so much and why I'm so big already.

"Hi guys, the tech just told me the news, congrats! The rules do change a bit when you have twins, but as of right now it looks like nothing to be worried about. We should be able to see the gender at your next sonogram if the babies cooperate. I want you to make sure you are getting plenty of rest, and that you're eating a lot. You're eating for three now, so don't feel guilty if you're eating more. We might look at inducing you, but as of right now, I think you're healthy enough that you should carry to term. Do you have any questions?" I'm still in so much shock.

"Are there any health risks we should be aware of? Any extra limitations?" Thank god Bill thought to ask because for some reason my mouth doesn't want to speak.

"With mothers pregnant with twins we have worries of overdoing it and not carrying to term, but as long as she gets plenty of rest she should be fine. You're already better set than most of the teen mom's I see come in here. You don't drink, smoke, or do drugs, and you take care of yourself. As long as you rest and eat enough, you shouldn't have any issues."

"Bill we're having twins. Two. Twice the diapers, bottles, cribs, crying, twice the amount of labor. This is crazy. And for some reason I'm so damn happy. I'm so scared yet I'm so happy. I'm 18 years old and I'm going to be the mother of 2. This is nuts."

I should be flipping, but for some crazy reason I'm happy and calm. I guess a part of me knew. All I know is I have two healthy babies, a fiancé, and my life is looking pretty good right now.
