jackson and jinyoung sat on a couch in the lobby while mark checked in to the hotel. there was tons of awkward tension between the two boys, both of them glancing at each other from time to time. jinyoung wanted so badly to hug jackson and never let him go, but he couldn't help feeling hurt over what happened the other morning. he knew it wasn't jackson's fault, the boy had no control over his dreams, but he still wanted some kind of explanation.

as if reading jinyoung's thoughts, jackson opened his mouth to speak, but immediately closed it when mark walked up. "okay, let's go!" mark said cheerfully before he practically skipped toward the elevator. he stepped into the small box, but held up his hand in order to stop the other two boys from following him inside. he quickly reached over with his other hand to press one of the elevator's floor buttons and, as the doors closed, tossed one of the two room keys at jackson.

jackson and jinyoung stood there for a few seconds out of shock and confusion, their jaws almost touching the floor. "are you joking?" jackson mumbled to himself as he stepped forward and erratically pressed the button that would bring the elevator back. it did come back after a moment, but mark wasn't inside it anymore. "that bitch," huffed jackson.

jinyoung brushed past the chinese boy and into the elevator, grabbing his wrist so he could drag him inside as well. jinyoung pressed the button next to the number 7 and the two stood in silence with jackson internally fanboying over the fact that his boyfriend hadn't let go of his wrist yet. the younger of the two didn't let go of jackson's wrist until they entered the room they would be sharing for the night.

jackson wanted to make a joke about it, but jinyoung immediately crawled into a bed after ridding himself of his shoes by the door and pulled the covers over his head. jackson frowned at his boyfriend's actions, took his shoes off as well, and walked over to the bed as well. he was tired of avoiding the elephant in the room; he wanted to go back to how they were before. "jinyoung, can we please talk?" he asked softly as he crouched down next to jinyoung's bed.

"there's nothing to talk about." the raven-haired boy replied, but jackson noticed a change in his voice. "are you crying?" he heard jinyoung sniffle after that which, to him, was a clear answer. however, jinyoung quickly sat up after that, throwing the blankets off of himself in distress. "yes, i'm crying!" the boy shouted while tears continuously flowed out of his eyes and down his cheeks. he felt like he'd been crying for the last couple days and it was starting to annoy him.

jinyoung's outburst caught jackson off guard and he reached out to comfort him, but his boyfriend slapped his hand away. "i'm crying because you said mark's name in your sleep! i know i'm being overdramatic, but i can't help it..." his voice quieted down as he neared the end of his sentence, but he continued speaking soon after. "i love you so much, jackson... i love you more than anything, but i'm so afraid you'll leave me for mark. i've never been more afraid of anything in my entire life.

"mark is so much better than i am. he's definitely smarter, and more attractive, and just— overall, he's a better person. you would probably be happier with him, too. mark is like... exo, and i'm exp." jinyoung chuckled quietly at his own joke, taking in a shaky breath after. "i'm so... fucking worthless, and disgusting. i'm insecure, too, nobody enjoys being around insecure people. i mean, look at me, i'm bawling over my boyfriend merely saying someone else's name in his sleep...
