Unexpected Surprise

It's been a month since they left. I haven't heard anything from Killian, I didn't want to lose hope but he was taking a long time to come back to get me. I finally healed from all my wounds from the duel, so I've been feeling great. I'm walking with my new friend Angela that I met the day of the duel. She was the one who cared for both Shane and I and well yeah, we became friends since then.

We were walking by the water fall where we get our water supply from and she gives me a soft smile, "you miss Killian?" I nod. "Yes I do, I just hope he comes back soon." We fill some containers with water and take them back to the village, once we get to the village I start to feel super dizzy and nauseous. I run over to a pit and start to throw up.

"Emma!" Angela screams as she ran towards me and everyone was staring at me. I get back up and I start to feel really weak. "Emma are you with child?" I shook my head. "No I haven't been with Shane or anyone how could I, oh well there might be a possibility," I say as I run to throw up again. Angela continues to talk to me and at that moment I felt all my world turn black.

Next thing you know I wake up and I'm in my bed. I turn around and I see Shane and Angela. They both smile at me. "What happened?" "Told you I was right." I look at her in a confused way. Shane walks up to me and caresses my cheek. I smile, "ok I'm confused." He touches my belly. "So I am expecting?" They both nod. I smile and then my smile fades.

I start to remember that Killian isn't here with me and he doesn't even know that I'm pregnant, I mean that was the plan but we didn't think it would actually work. Angela smiles at me, "I will be the greatest aunt to your baby, Emma." I half smile and Shane nods. "Don't worry here the child will have a good life that is until Killian returns because I assume he's the father correct?" I blush and nod.

He kisses my forehead and then smiles at me. "Thank you for caring for me Shane." He nods. "I'm trying the best I can." I smile and I caressed my belly. "Well it's best you rest." I smile and nod. He walks out of the room and Angela smiles at me. "It's a miracle that baby is alive, especially after the duel." I gasp.

That's right, oh my poor baby, I seriously hope I didn't hurt my baby. "I know but until it's born there's no way of knowing if he or she is ok." She nods. "Well in the mean time, I'm a go and bring you some delicious fruit." I smile. "Thanks." I laid back against the wall and sighed. I started to remember Killian and a tear rolled down my face.

How I wish he was here to hold me, to kiss my belly and tell me how excited he is to be a father again. That's when I start to cry. I don't cry easily anymore but lately I've been very emotional and now I know the reason, I'm pregnant. I touch my necklace and I continue to cry.

I want my family back, I miss my daughter, my husband, my life, I wanted everything back. That's when Shane walks back into the room. He gasps as he sees me crying. "Emma are you alright?" I shake my head and I look at him and sighed wishing it was Killian.

"I can't stay here, I want my husband, my daughter, I can't...." He then sits next to me. "I'm so sorry Emma, I wish I had the power to bring him here but I can't." I nodded and sighed. I caressed my belly and continued to cry. "Is it ok, if I hug you?" I nod.

He scoots closer to me and hugs me. I hated feeling this way, but it felt awesome to be embraced. It wasn't the same as being embraced by Killian, but it was the next best thing. "I'm sorry Shane, I don't want to sound ungrateful..." He looks down at me and smiles.

"No it's ok Emma, I understand..." he says as he wipes the tears from my eyes. I smile. "So tell me about my niece, Aqua." I smile and leaned against him. "Well she is a sweet yet feisty little girl." He smiles. "Looks exactly like Killian and well like you." He laughs. "Yeah I know she's going to become an amazing ruler, Killian will raise her right," I say as another tear rolled down my face.

Shane then moves and gives me a weird look. "Why are you talking like that, you will get back to Aqua and Killian." I sigh and caress my belly. "Shane who am I kidding, he can't come back, I know that he's looking for a way back but he will never find me." He sighs. "Don't lose hope Emma." I sigh. "I'll try but at least I'm happy to know that at least every time he sees Aqua she will remind him of me." Shane nods.

"Can't say the same for my baby, they will never know of his or her father." Shane shakes his head. "No don't say that, your baby will know of its father, we will talk to him or her about him." I half smile. "I may have not known him long but I can tell the baby when she or he older that we fought." I laugh.

"True." He smiles and wipes the tear. "Now enough with the crying, if you cry the baby cries." I laugh. "That's not how it works." He laughs. "I know but I made you laugh." I nod. "Thanks Shane." He nods. "Anything for you Emma." I smile and nod.
