I slowly creeped down the staircase as I heard my mother on the phone. "That's great news!" She said as I shuffled into the kitchen. "So that's tomorrow at 12pm?" She asked while holding the phone to her ear, holding a lanyard with a pass of some sort in it and writing notes. "I'll make sure to tell her she'll be glad to hear it. Yes, we did get the passes. Goodbye!" She put the phone in her pocket then turned to me. "You're going out tomorrow, I don't want you here anyway." She hissed. What did she do? Sell me to slavery? Whore me out? "What did you do...?" My voice trailed off. "Entered you into a competition that you won." Okay.. A competition, can't be that bad. "What kind of co-" "STOP ASKING QUESTIONS!" She spat. "You always talk about that Fall Out Boys band so you're going to hang out with them for a day then you're going back to your own house." Hold up. I'm hanging out with my favorite band? Well shit. "Oh my god mom... Thanks so much!" I went up to hug her then backed away. "Yeah, yeah. Best mom in the world blah blah blah. Go to bed it's 12am." I don't see why I need a curfew but sure, whatever. She handed me the lanyard and I ran back up the stairs like a child. Of course, as soon as I got in bed I texted my best friend. Yes, I have friends are you suprised?

Nice one Jessica. Maybe I should go to sleep.

"WAKE UP EMMA!" Was the first thing I heard as I woke up. I rolled out of bed and chose an outfit. Should I wear merch? Would that make me look weird and over the top? I picked out the first things I could find and threw them into an outfit.

Good enough. I walked downstairs to meet the gaze of my mom. "What are you wearing?" She scanned me from head to toe. "This is what I always wear.." I attempted to shuffle past her. "I was expecting a pretty dress or heels..." She said. "I hate my legs and I can't walk in heels." I crossed my arms and smirked. "Just get out. Go to the 8th Avenue buildings and show the security guard your card the follow him." Before I could say anything, I was pushed out of the door which was quickly locked behind me. "Great." I muttered under my breath. 8th Avenue... That's where most of the 'hard, emo kids' hang out. I sure love it there... Note my sarcasm. I placed the lanyard in my pocket and walked down the unsurprisingly crowded streets. I heard wolf whistles behind me... As usual. "Fuck off Jason!" I whisper-shouted to the culprit. "You look hot today Emma!" I continued walking after flipping the bird at the three try hard boys who were positioned on a fence. "Where you going baby?" "SOMEWHERE YOU'LL NEVER GET TO GO ASSHOLE!" I blurted out. Oops. Oh well. I walked to the largest building on the block, showed the security guy my card then got leaded in. "Just gonna put this out there, they're really excited." He laughed. "So am I."
