Shiukori was fine. The rest of the group, however, were completely sore. She'd made them leave a day earlier, threatening that if she didn't get to kill something, she'd go out and find it.

Which again, brought the question to Inuyasha's mind. Where had she been? She acted as if she hadn't been able to move for the entire hundred years she'd been gone. That made Inuyasha think, If that's the case, I totally understand.

Shiukori suddenly picked up on the scent of a cat demon and a cat half-demon. She could smell the half-demon's blood.

"I can smell something. Come on!" Shiukori jumped up into the trees and took off flying. She flew with the rest running behind her until she reached the scent. A cat demon was attacking what looked like his half-demon son.

"You stupid half-breed! You killed her! You killed Koneko!" The demon screamed, attacking his son. The half-demon bled, but did not cry.

Shiukori landed and walked up behind the cat demon. "Got a problem with him?" she asked.

"Of course I do! He killed Koneko! He killed my wife! Besides, he's a half-breed!" the demon yelled, not realizing who he was yelling at.

Shiukori narrowed her eyes and suppressed a growl. "Have you got a problem with half-demons?"

"Everyone does! Everyone should! They are disgusting creatures that shouldn't be in this world!" The demon screamed his head off.

Shiukori wouldn't be able to control her anger much longer. Unlike her twin Sesshoumaru, she had a short temper and had trouble controlling it, much like Inuyasha. And anyway, this demon was saying all of this about her brother! How could she keep any of it in for much longer?

"And yet you fell in love with a human. If you hate half-demons so much, than you probably should have thought of that. It's your own fault that the poor child has to have such a nasty beast for a father," she snarled kicking him in the chest lightly and sending him back a few miles. She walked over to the half-demon. He looked no older than thirteen biologically.

"Hey," she spoke softly, losing her tone of malice instantly. "It's alright now, he won't hurt you anymore. I'll protect you."

The boy looked up at her and his eyes widened, "are you Shiukori, the great dog demon?"

"Well, I don't know about the great part but the rest is true," she chuckled.

"You disappeared for one hundred years and have returned finally. Thank you for saving me from my father," the boy spoke graciously. "My name is Kemono."

"Tell me Kemono, will you miss your father?" she asked him.

"No!" he answered immediately.

"Would you like me to make sure that he can't hurt you anymore?" she offered. Kemono nodded. Shiukori reciprocated a stiff nod before going over to the cat demon and dragging him into the forest.

She walked back out a few minutes later to see the group speaking with Kemono. Inuyasha smelled the blood of the demon that she'd washed off and sent her a disapproving look. She only walked over to Kemono.

"We'll be going now. If you ever need anything, just follow my scent," she told him, pricking a finger with her claw and wiping the blood on the sleeve of his shirt. The group began walking.

Once they were safely out of earshot of the cat boy, Inuyasha turned to his sister. "You didn't have to kill him-"

"Big words coming from you," she responded immediately, almost before he could finish his sentence. It was as if she'd planned her response to whatever he said.
