"Are you coming?"

Jeon Jungkook inhaled sharply. He span to face the voice belonging to one of his supposed friends.

"You scared me you bastard!" Jungkook growled.

"Grow up JK." The eldest and the leader of the lads, JiHan snickered .

Jungkook rolled his eyes and followed after the older boys as they headed towards their target. Deep down he knew he should be doing this, regretting each and every step he took. But turning back wasn't an option. He had to do this.

As they dashed forward he eyed the target building appearing in the distance.

The Church.

The other boys continued lunging forwards covered by the early evening dusk. All that could be heard was the rapid pants for breathe.

"Quick, get over." JiHan yelled as they approached the church wall.

Jungkook gulped. The wall was at least two meters high. There's no way they were going to clear that. Was there? No not without assistance. Yet to Jungkook's surprise and his horror the three lads cleared the wall without difficulty. Jungkook paused contemplating how he was meant to follow after the boys. Yes, he may be one of the most athletic boys in his school. Yet his confidence in clearing the wall lacked.

JiHan yelled over. "Come on JK I thought you wanted to do this? Or are you running home to mommy."

The tormet went straight to Jungkook's head. This was his chance to prove himself he couldn't blow it. Without a second thought he charged at the wall, leapt at the wall, reaching out and hoping for the best. His fingers gripped the rough curved surface. Fighting for balance he clung on as he twisted his body mid air over the wall, over onto the other side.

Plop. His feet landed safely on the otherside. Jungkook let put a sigh of relief however the others had no intentions on slowing their pace for the younger. Ignoring the stinging feeling in his hands Jungkook followed after the older boys.

Trespassing on the graveyard late at night sent a chill through Jungkook's body. He'd grown to live for the adrenalin rush he experienced hanging out with the elder lads.

"Holy shit guys." Jungkook chuckled to himself. The thought of cursing inside sacred grounds boosted his thrill. The other boys laughed back at his remark trampling over graves and flowers in the process.

"Look at this lads." JiHan called pointing to a grave decorated with flowers and gifts.

The elder blonde who was well defined and rather tall, Jinwoo, picked up the soft toy which was placed on the grave with a ribbon tied around it's neck. "Dear Mummy." He read in a mocking tone. "What a load of shit."

Jungkook gasped, his mouth agape, at the disrespect of his friend. "Dude, that's someone's grave."

"Do I look like I give a shit?" He replied bitterly.

"That's probably from some little kid!"

The other brunette lad, Eunwoo stepped up. "That's the point. Who cares man?"

"Is Jeon Jungkook going soft?" The eldest tormented.

"No!"

"Then prove it JK. Destroy the bear."

Jungkook looked around. He felt a pang of regret as he took the teddy bear from the boys. He could sense the importance behind the bear but at the same time.he couldn't lose the only friends he had in the area.

Taking one last breathe Jeongguk ripped the head off the bear and sprinkled the stuffing like confetti. Yanking at the bear he pulled it to pieces tossing each bit away.

"Nice." The boys nodded approving of Jungkook's work.

Satisfied they headed towards the church itself to finish what they came for.

As Jungkook drew closer to the building itself he felt a pang of regret. The Church was a particularly attractive building, with beautiful stain glass windows and traditional stone. It was illuminated by a few glowing lights along the side of the church.  There was no particular reason to attack such a well preserved, beautiful building Jungkook told himslef which only made him feel worse about the entire affair.

"Alright boys have you got the cans?" The leader asked throwing his bag to the ground. All of them nodded. Evil smirks plasted all over their grubby faces.

The three boys begin to prepare shaking their cans. Jungkook stood back no longer willing to cause more pain to the local church.

A bang in the distance caused the boys to all spin around. Noyhing. Not even a bird. After establishing they were all clear they boys turned back to the church.

"How about JK goes first?" Jinwoo calls noticing Jungkook's hesitation.

"Me?" His voice quivers.

"You're one of us aren't you?"

"Of course I am." He puffed adamantly.

"Then are you going to do it? Or are you going to chicken out like a little baby?" JiHan smirks.

Jungkook sighed, taking the can out if his hand. "I'll do it."

The boys let out a small cheer whilst snickering to themselves. He shook it before turning to the boys.

"Anytime today." They sniggered leaning against a tree in the shadows.

Jungkook took a deep breathe.

"Excuse me?" An unfamiliar voice called from behind him.

Swiftly Jungkook pivoted in the balls if his feat, hiding the can up his hoodie, to turn to face the stranger.

"Hello sir." Jungkook stuttered glancing up at the stranger.

He was a middle aged man dressed in standard clothing with judgmental scowl on his face as he peered down on Jungkook.

"And what are you doing here at this time?" The man asked with a clam voice.

Glancing over at the tree for support he realised there was no one there. Anger rushed through his viens. He trusted them. He was doing this for them. He could only assume he'd been ditched by his so called friends.

"I came to visit the church sir." Jungkook forced a smile knowing he'd been caught. He glanced back over to the tree once again to check once again that he'd definitely been abandoned. Unfortuantley his theory was true. They'd ditched him.

The man frowned. "And why would you be visiting the church at this hour young man?"

"I don't think there's ever a wrong time to worship god." Jungkook lied naturally.

"Of course." The man nodded before pausing "I don't think I've seen you at service before?"

"I've just moved to the area recently and I wanted to visit the church to help comfort me."

The man's expression softened to a warm beaming smile."Well God always welcomes new members of the church with open arms. I look forward to seeing you Sunday..."

"Jungkook."

"I'll see you Sunday Jungkook."

"See you then sir."

The man turned around to head back to his car before pausing. "Ah one last thing, you haven't heard or seen a group of boys around your age have you. I received a call saying a group of boys were spotted terrorising the church grounds."

"I'm afraid I haven't seen anything sir. I haven't been here all that long."

The man nodded. "Very well. Thank you for your time."

Internally Jungkook cursed at how naturally lies slipped his lips. Sometimes it felt even he no longer knew what was the truth from his own lies.
