Alex's POV:
"I have an announcement to make!" Carli said at the beginning of training.
Everyone stopped goofing around turned their heads towards her.
"As you know, the 2016 Rio Olympics are coming up, and we are short a few players," Carli continued.
Hope looked at me.
"New player?" She mouthed.
"I don't know," I replied.
"Alex! Are you listening?" Cali said impatiently.
"Sorry," I mumbled. Hope looked at me pitifully.
"Anyways," Carli went on, "Coach has decided to take a new player, so I'd like you all to welcome Tobin Heath to our team!" She cheered.
A girl that I guessed was Tobin, popped out from behind Carli. She had wavy brown hair that was back in a ponytail, muscular legs, and a big smile.
Choruses of "Hey Tobin," and "Welcome," filled the change room.
Tobin smiled back and began giving girls hugs and high fives. Pshh. What was she thinking? She had known these girls for no longer than a minute, and she already though she was part of the team. Maybe the other girls thought she was, but it was going to take a lot more for me to accept her as part my my team.
