The Underworld

Faster, I have to run faster. Ace thought as he ran though tunnels and alleys of the Underworld. The place of his enslavement. The place of his birth. The place of endless horrors. The demons made their city there. The place where man, beast, and anything not a full blown demon, is take and enslaved.

Ace pressed himself against a wall hiding from the demons. The whole fucking city was looking for him. Demon guards and citizens alike ran though the black stone city.

"FIND THE SLAVES!!" A Werespider ordered for all to hear. "FIND THEM AND BRING THE MAN TO ME!!" Her voice so loud all in the city could hear.

Ace hid in the shadows as a group of angry full dark armored guards ran by him. Torches and blades at the ready. Ace waited until a window of opportunity to move before sprinting across the street.

"THERE HE IS!!" A guard shouted as he caught a glimpse of Ace darting across.

Shit Shit Shit. He thought as ran in a alley. Only to came to a dead end.
Looking around he saw barrels in a corner and a small window that was too high for a normal jump.

Look closer at the window. The voice said. The one he has been hearing in his dreams. Guiding him to this point in time.Looking closer he notice a brick was poking out a little.

If I could grab it we would be one step closer to freedom. Ace thought. He quickly dragged a barrel under the window. Just as he was standing on it.

"Hello slave." Said a cold voice to his left.
Turning, Ace saw the last being he ever wanted to see again.
Standing in front of a group of seven guards was his master.

"And where do you thinking your going, slave?" He coldly asked his cold grey eyes staring at Ace. Even his dark heavy ebony armor looked cold.

"We're leaving. Now fuck off." Ace said trying to sound braver then he felt. But failed as his master just smirk at him.

"Oh really? Without your mate?" This made Ace ball up his hands.

"She's not my mate. You demons forced us to fuck." This made his master laugh.

"So, what? The two of you are my property. I want more slaves so I gave you , my best fighter the right to breed. I can do whatever I want with you." He stated with a cold smile. "Enough talk, guards grab the slaves."

As if that was the signal everyone was waiting for. Alot happened at once. Ace jumped to grab the ledge barley missing an arrow. Quickly he launched himself and reached for the window jumping though it. Unfortunately, just before he entered the window an arrow hit him in his left side. Ace rolled inside quickly holding his chest with both arms.

Present Day

Ace awoke to loud music and the smell of ale.

" Its about time you returned to the land of the living, Ace." stated the kind voice of the barkeep. Looking up Ace saw a big breasted female human. With dark hair. " If you plan to sleep here you need to pay for a room."

Sighing the rogue paid his bill and left the bar.

Dam, I'm nearly out of coin. Again.
Ace thought to himself walking through the quiet streets. Night time here in Avalon was always quiet.
The town was small, despite being historically important to the humans.
Something about it being one of the first human towns. Something about an important battle during the human-elven war.

Ace didn't really care. He just wanted to sleep.

Finally, he came to a small hut outside of town.
Home sweet home he thought as he unlocked the door.

The hut was small but Ace was never a man who cared for owning mansions. It had what a mortal needed.
Bed, bathroom, kitchen, and a fire place. After a while he went to plop on his bed to sleep.
Looking through the window next to his bed he saw a full moon.

Maybe tomorrow I could go to the jobboard and find something to kill or steal back. Anything that pays really.
Yawn the rogue letting sleep take him.
