Reverend's orgins: Remy AKA Nemesis

A woman wearing a small black coat was walking in the forest a snowstorm blowing her hair around wildly. When seen at a closer view you could see two horns protruding her head as well as sharpened teeth and claw-like nails. She has eyes like burning coals and hair as black as night and skin a soft caramel colour.

Just then another person walked towards her mixed emotions on his face. "Esther?" He asked walking up to the she-demon. "What is it you wanted to tell me?" He asked softly grabbing her hands.

"Dante." She whispered barely audible. "I'm pregnant." She announced. His eyes widened in shock before he smiled.

"That's great!" He said happily looking at her stomach he could now see how much bigger she was. "How long?" He asked.

"It will be soon he is growing fast." She answered. He looked happy at that and bent down to her stomach, "You here that? You'll soon meet your mother and father." He said.

"No I can't take him." She declared boldly.

That caused Dante to start, "What why not he needs a mother?" He said angrily.

"He needs a family and that is something the Reverends will deny him." She stated sadly.

"Well fine I'll take him but I still want him to know his mother." He emphasized.

"No I cannot." She shot back shaking her head.

"Why Esther do you not want him to have a mother?" He hissed causing her to flinch.

"After he is born I will give him to you and that is the last you'll see of me." She said devoid of emotion.

He looked shocked, "What do you mean?"

"We should have never done this! A Reverent and an Outsider should never fall in love. We are breaking the law and I can't do it anymore." She sobbed before stepping away from him. "I'm sorry." She apologized before running away.

(3 months later)

She held the children in her arms the agony finally over. Once she knew it was time she left and found a quiet spot to give birth. Surprisingly they were twins but she could tell the girl was having trouble breathing. The boy was crying but Ether wasn't focused on him.

"Come on Violet." She cried holding her tightly trying to get her to drink some milk.The boy who she named Remice was drinking but his sister refused too.

Finally the demon felt the girl go still but she couldn't accept it. "Violet?" She called grabbing her softly. The baby's eyes were closed and her body was slowly going cold.

"My beautiful girl." Ether wailed holding her child close. She buried her soon after as Remice remained asleep in her arms. Although the she-demon was still tired she knew that she couldn't stay much longer.

Ether had sent the message to Dante that it would soon be time a week ago and now she just hoped he'd be there. She continued to walk but it felt like she was being followed and she kept sending quick glances behind her. Finally she reached the meeting place and sat down against a tree exhausted from the whole ordeal. She held Remy in her hands as she wrapped him in a small blanket because she didn't exactly have baby clothes.

She waited but then a branch snapping behind her caused her to whip around locking eyes with a huge black werewolf with a russet tinge to his fur. "Canon!" Ether said shocked standing up. The beast slowly turned into his human form his dark blue eyes flickering dangerously as his hair got a darker red color to it.

"Ether..." He sneered walking up to her dangerously on reflex she took a step back.

"What are you doing here?"

"I could as you the same thing?" He muttered darkly. That's when he saw Remice and his eyes narrowed even more. "So the rumours are true." He observed watching the sleeping form of the child. "I assume you're waiting for the father?"

She looked at him a bit fearful not knowing if he would attack or not. "You know I loved you but no you had to fall in love with an outsider." He continued growing the last part. Ether's eyes widened but she waved a dismissal hand trying to look uncaring.

He just narrowed his eyes as he circled her before he stopped in front of her face. "Please Canon forgive me I promise I will be a loyal Reverend til the day he claims me." She pleaded clutching her child close to her body.

"You have what I went through after you left me for that Outsider." Canon spat. "It's like being cut open every day, never being able to please you no matter how much I tried. I can't believe how you never noticed the hell you put me through" He hissed grabbing her abruptly causing her to let go of Remice who landed on the ground letting out a wail of protest. Ether's eyes were wide as Canon grabbed her and carried her away from the child. She struggled to reach for her son but Canon ignored her efforts.

"Let me go Canon I broke it off with him we are no more!" She cried trying to pull out of his grip. He just remained silent and led her to a cliff pulling out his sword and aiming it at her chest. She stepped back carefully but not to far back the cliff looming behind her. It was about a three story drop and the river at this point in the water had a significantly high amount of rocks that if the fall didn't kill you the rocks would finish the job. "Canon please don't do this.." She pleaded but his eyes flickered uncaring as he took another step forward forcing her to step back.

She looked down at the swirling river below her before shifting them back to Canon. He took another step and she felt her foot slip but she quickly righted herself. She was unarmed and she knew there was nothing that she could do. She heard a crack from where she was standing as Canon forced her forward again. "Don't kill Remice please." She said quietly before the ground let out a sickening groan and fell out from under her throwing her into the water and rocks below her body letting out a sickening crunch as it collided with a rock. Canon almost was thrown off but he dug his claws into the ground before pulling himself upwards.

He watched the water as he regained his breath noticing the red hue it now had. Once satisfied he stalked back towards the camp. He was walking confidently when his superior hearing heard the crying from the child. He stopped. He tried to ignore it but the more he did the more it seemed he cried more. Finally in a huff of anger he turned around and headed towards the kid stopping in front of him angrily.

When Remice saw him he seemed to cry even louder his wails echoing in the forest. Canon pulled out his sword putting it against the child's head before pulling back swinging the weapon down looking away. Instead of the crunch he expected a loud smashing was heard and when he looked back his sword was in pieces and the child was untouched but his usual brown eyes was now a dark red colour. Dermal manipulation he realized.

"Hmm." Canon said throwing his now broken sword away and lifting Remice in the air. He's so small yet even now he had enough power to block my sword. Canon thought holding the child who seemed happier at being in the air.

He smelt the smell of an outsider come from behind him and when he looked that way he saw Dante walking towards him. He could tell that the Outsider hadn't seen him yet.

He looked at Remice before he wrapped him with the blanket and turned into a wolf. He then raced off into the woods holding the child in his mouth. This will be my final punishment to you Ether he thought as he raced away.
