Jude tossed and turned in her bed unable to fall asleep. Something was on her mind, It was Lana. For some reason she had a strange pull on Jude and she couldn't over come it.  Then she thought of how cold it was out this night.  Jude pulled herself out of bed and wrapped herself in a black robe, picked up an extra pair of sheets from her closet to bring to Lana.

She quietly slipped out of her room and closed the door behind her. She scoped out the hallways and staircase for any night shift guards, so far the coast was clear.  She tiptoed down the woman's ward hallway to the end cell, where Lana was staying.  She peeked in and saw Lana curled up in a ball shivering.  As quiet as she could Judy pulled out her keys and unlocked her cell door.  The rusty hinges squeaked when she pulled open the door but everyone seemed to still be asleep.  She slid into Lana's cell and stood at the end of her bed.  Jude grabbed Lana's foot and shook it lightly.  She jumped up in fear out of her sleep breathing heavily.  Jude put her finger to her lips signalling for her to be quiet.

"Here.." Jude said walking to the side of her bed, throwing the extra sheet over her shivering body.  Lana buried her shivering body under it.  Jude turned to leave but she felt a cold hand grab hers, she craned her neck to look back at Lana.

"Thank you Judy..." Lana whispered through chattering teeth.  Jude nodded and squeezed her hand as a tear pooled in the corner of her eye.  Lana closed her eyes for a few moments and Jude was gone. Disappeared back into the darkness of the corridor.

Why all of a sudden had Jude had a feeling of regret? why was she being so nice to me?  So many unanswered questions Lana ran through her mind.  Her body finally starting to heat up she began to fall into a comfortable sleep, which was almost impossible for the last few days.  But something was different.

"I think I have feelings for Sister Jude." Lana admitted mentally to herself.  She kept thinking of how soft and warm Jude's hand was against hers, and for once she saw Jude's golden locks freed from the black fabric she always wore over her head.  The moon created enough light that she could see them shine.

"Come on Lana, she is the one who locked you in here!" She yelled at herself mentally.

"I wish she stayed with me.." Was her final thought before she fell into a deep sleep.
