Silence, The one thing you never get around here, it's always busy traffic and aeroplanes. The city is too crowded for my liking and I want to get away. Though, it's a bit hard to go anywhere when it's just you and your on a low salary. So with me experimenting with my life, I actually found a job I like, the army out on the field. I liked crawling through mud and helping people who need it most.

Today is the day, my first on field war. I armed up with the commander in charge, John, and best mate, Zach. Zach only joined about five months ago and John joined because his dad died in the war and he thought it was his destiny because for the last six generations, all of the fathers died in war. I still never really found a place with complete silence. The cry of war from John meant we were to go fight, so we did.

I lost many friends that day. Their cries of pain and men asking for help was unbearable. I pressed the button on the side of the walkie-talkie and called out for Zach. I quickly got a response. He was scared and badly wounded. He told me to look after his wife and kids but I told him it would never come to that and I told him he would make it out alive. I didn't lie...

That day, I met what many call God. He said I could save Zach at just one cost, to sacrifice my own life. I took no time to think and agreed. I didn't have anything back home anyway. I was now back on the field talking to Zach on the radio, reassuring him that he would be okay. Then silence, I knew that was my time up.

Zach got home safely , back to his family. He served the the rest of his contract serving for the army. He had two precious babies, The youngest a girl named Zoe and the oldest, a strapping boy named after me, Ethan. I now follow him wherever he goes, as his guardian angel.
