~Rose's POV~

I woke up for the first time in my new room to the blaring sound of my alarm forcing me to get up for my terrifying first day at my new school. My mom and I moved from New York to the bleak town of Beacon Hills, California as a chance to get away from my terrifying father. He had been on a business trip the past week so my mom thought quick, bought us a house in a small town, packed up our belongings, and left. I was glad for the move, but I wasn't too pleased to have to start a new school in a place I was foreign to.

After lingering in bed for a few minutes questioning whether or not to actually go to school today, I got up walking to one of the many boxes in my room and opening the one marked "clothes." I sifted through the box for a minute before finally deciding on a black skirt, a forest green scalloped top, black leather jacket, black tights, and my black leather ankle boots. For my hair, i let my long dark brown hair in its natural waves and applied minimal makeup for I did not want to gain the title as a skank at my school.

I jogged down the stairs already a couple minutes too late for myself to find my mom asleep on the couch probably because she was too tired from settling things in last night. So I gave her a swift kiss on the forehead and went out to my range rover to punch in the adress of my new school. I silently thanked my mom for finding a house so close to my school seeing it was only five minutes away.

"Oh god. Here we go," I said to myself as I parked my car into the nearest parking space.

As I got out of my car I heard two boys arguing. "I'm telling you, after you left something bit me, and the bite had completely healed by the time I got home," one of the said.

I really should not have been eavesdropping, but I mean I had never heard of anything like this. So I stood hiding beside my car in hopes I wouldn't get caught.

"That sure is some crazy shit man," the other said.

"Yeah but what's even more weird is that my senses seem to be heightened. I can smell things better, hear, see, everything. You think I might be going crazy?" the first asked frantically.

"No man not at all. I believe you. Let me see what I can find out and what I do find I'll tell you later. See ya." he said.

"Ok thanks Stiles. I'll catch up with you later," he waved and walked away from who I now know as Stiles.

Hm Stiles, I thought to myself, what a peculiar yet interesting name. I decided that I liked it and went well with him.

I looked over at him and saw he was about my age with short dark brown hair and what I thought, he was pretty damn cute. "Stiles," I whispered, liking the way his name sounded rolling off my tongue.

"Hm yeah what?" he said dropping his phone to the ground in a rather clumsy way.

I cursed under my breath hoping he still couldn't see me, but with my luck of course I dropped my bag.

Immediately I went down to the ground to pick up my scattered belongings. As I stood up I met his eyes, a stunning light brown color.

"Um hi," he started sounding nervous, "I just wanted to know if you know um possibly said my name seeing as there is no other person around?"

"Uh," wow Rose really uh is all you can say, I thought, "Uh no! I don't even know you?" I tried hoping my acting had worked with him.

"Oh! Well you know I was just joking anyway," he said and I laughed knowing that he lied. "I also happen to know that you are new here because I have never seen your pretty pretty face before. Just so you know I'm not a stalker. So um yeah," he again said nervously. "Shit, I did not just say that," he said to himself.

He was sarcastic and idiotic huh, I thought to myself. I laughed saying, "Hey don't worry you don't look like the stalker type. I think," I finished, grinning at him. "I'm Rose by the way. I just moved here yesterday."

"Stiles Stilinski," he says putting his hand out to me. "What part of Beacon Hills did you move to?" he asks. "Shit, now I actually do sound like a stalker. Sorry," he exclaims.

"No worries, but is it possible that-"

"I could show you around? Yes a hundred times yes," Stiles says quickly which makes me laugh.

"Okay so it looks like a majority of our classes are together, so I guess I'll see you around," he says grinning.

"Thanks so much. I really appreciate it Stiles," I smile back settling my things into my locker as Stiles walks over to his friend who I still did not know the name of.

I close my locker and jump as I find two girls my age standing in front of me. "You're the new girl right?" the strawberry-blonde asks and I nod. "I'm Lydia, and this is Allison," she says pointing to the dark haired girl next to her who gives me a sincere smile and wave.

"Hi," I say smiling to the both of them, and we continue to converse as we make our way to our first class together which is econ.

~Stiles POV~

"Rose is already stuck with Lydia along with that other new chick," I say to my best mate Scott.

"Who?" he asks me.

"That one over there with the leather," I point out to him.

"Wait how do you even know her if she's new?"

"We talked this morning, and she agreed to let me guide her today, but I'm pretty sure she thinks I'm a stalker," I say and get a confused look from Scott.

"You like her man? I thought you had your ten year plan with Lydia?" he questions.

"Yeah, I think I may have to revise that plan," I tell him and he laughs. "Well you like that other girl with her. I see it."

"Well yeah maybe," he says smiling. With that we both head to econ where I find Rose already sitting scribbling something into her notebook.

~Rose's POV~

"Hey," I hear a voice say and I look up to see Stiles smiling at me.

"Hi, nice to see you again," I tell him, smiling back, and the bell rings.

~

The rest of the day went by swiftly, and of course in every class I was embarrassingly introduced. During lunch I sat next to Allison, Lydia, her boyfriend Jackson, shocker, a guy named Danny, and a few other people I couldn't remember. I also got to make small talk with the guy Stiles was talking to, and his name was Scott. I was thankful to have Stiles with me the whole day because honestly I didn't think I would make it through the day without him. It felt good to have made friends so quickly; plus I had gotten Stiles's, Scott's, Lydia's, and Allison's numbers.

"Thanks for everything today Stiles," I tell him meaning it.

"Hey anytime just call me if you anything," he says and I nod. "You gonna be okay driving home?" he asks with concern.

I roll my eyes, "Don't worry, I'll be fine. Besides, you have lacrosse," I state.

"Right," he says. " Well I'll see you later," he waves.

"Bye Stiles."

The thoughts of this morning's conversation between Stiles and Scott was still stuck in my head. Right when I got home, I went straight to my room and grabbed my laptop to immediately type in the symptoms Scott had. I read article after article and book page after book page not wanting to believe any of it. Was Scott a werewolf?
