Nakahara Chuuya hurriedly walked along the hallways in panic. What if Dazai had done it again? He clicked his tongue. Why did he even worry about that asshole?

Arriving at Dazai's apartment, the auburn haired boy kicked the door down and welcomed himself inside. "Dazai!" Chuuya called out in frantic search of the brunette. Silence filled the room, giving the smaller boy the cue to start looking around the apartment. He searched the kitchen, the living room and the bedroom but he didn't find Dazai. He checked the bathroom last, where he saw Dazai in the bath tub, soaked in his own blood. The brunette had sliced his wrists way too deep, he looked so pale. And so Chuuya did what he usually did. He tended to his partner's wounds yet again.

Dazai woke up to the comfort of his own bed. He sighed, he thought he was finally going to die. He thought he could finally end his stupid and miserable life. He looked down, noticing a weight on his stomach. It was Chuuya, leaning on him, most likely asleep. "So you saved me again, huh?" Dazai whispered softly so that he wouldn't wake Chuuya. He didn't know if he should be thankful or angry at the boy who was sleeping soundly. After all, Chuuya had ruined his suicide, his escape. The brunette sighed and shook it off. For now he should probably just deal with what's in front of him.

"Chuuya." Dazai called, lightly shaking the small boy's body. The auburn haired boy shot up in surprise, his puffy cobalt blue eyes wide open. After coming to his senses he frowned and punched the man in front of him. "You fucking idiot! Do you know how worried I was?! How could you do that? You fucking promised me!" Chuuya stifled his tears back as he yelled at the top of his lungs.

"Sorry, I promise I won't do it again." The brunette mumbled those empty words like he always did. But that wasn't enough anymore. That couldn't have been enough for Chuuya. "I don't want to hear your half-assed apologies. You probably don't mean any of it, Dazai." The other boy sat himself on the floor, his eyes losing all hope. "I've tried everything. I've always been here for you. I listened to you. I cared for you. Am I really just not enough?" Chuuya felt tears form at the corner of his eyes. He buried his face in his chest and shut his eyes.

Dazai weakly stood from the bed, still feeling a bit dizzy due to the loss of blood. He sat himself beside the now crying Chuuya. The brunette wrapped his arms around Chuuya and sighed softly. "I'm sorry Chuuya. I really am." That's all he could say. He was being truthful. He couldn't promise anything anymore. He couldn't give his partner false hope and hurt him all over again. Dazai could only apologize for letting Chuuya down again. He could only apologize for choosing death over the boy who loved him so much.
