This story is based off a dream i had. I'm s huge fan of Todd Haberkorn (look him up) and i was told this was good so i hope you all like it.
Emilio Salvatore: Worthless Artist who can't sell his art.
Violett: The best friend.
Nate: The sarcastic friend.
Ophelia: Main character's daughter (2 years old)
Kira: Main character
"Emilio! I'm tired of this! Please stop calling." Kira shouted into the phone as her, Violett and Nate all made their way to the convention centre. They were currently at an anime convention and Kira's Ex decided to call her. Ophelia was holding her mother's hand as they walked. She looked up at to her mother with worry. "I don't care. You can't see her." Kira said into the phone again. Kira turned to Violett and rolled her eyes. Violett was Ophelia's Godmother; it's only right since she's Kira's best friend.
"Maybe you should just hang up..." Nate asked. He had short dirty blonde, mostly brown hair and sparkly brown eyes. He was tall and slender. Nate never really said much, and when he did it was usually some sort of pun or sarcastic remark. Kira looked down at her two year old daughter as the father of her child, Emilio shouted on the other side of the phone.
"Want me to talk to the bastard? 'Cause I can." Violett asked, huffing in annoyance. "He's ruining our vacation!" Violett was also tall. Not an obnoxious tall, but taller than Kira. Kira was short for her age of twenty-one. Violett had shoulder length blonde, super curly hair and she wore flip-flops and shorts. She had pale skin and a closet bubbly attitude.
"Okay. I'm hanging up now. Don't call me again." Kira said as she pulled the phone away from her face and hung up. "Damn. What doesn't he understand?" Kira asked more to herself than anything.
"Whatever, we're almost there." Nate sighed, pulling the Con schedule out of his pocket. "It says here that Todd Haberkorn will be doing autographs and pictures on Hall F." Kira perked up.
"What time?" she asked. Nate looked up to her and then back down to the page. He then glanced at his watch on his left hand and looked back up to them both dramatically.
"Twenty minutes."
"Shit..." Kira scooped up Ophelia and started to run down the highway's sidewalk. Nate looked at Violett and then they both shrugged and chased after her.
"Wait for us!" Nate shouted.
"Yeah I wanna meet him too!" Violett added. As they ran, Ophelia was making loud 'bouncing' sounds and laughing.
They were standing in the lineup. The line was really long to meet Mr. Todd Haberkorn, and they were already standing in the line for half an hour. Kira was holding Ophelia on her hip as Nate and Violett chatted cheerily in front of her.
"Mommy... I'm tired..." Ophelia complained as she rubbed her eyes and laid her head on her mother's shoulder. Kira rubbed her daughter's back.
"I know sweetheart. We're almost at the front. Look we're next." Kira pointed to the people in front of her friends. "First, Auntie Violett goes and then us." She said.
"Mkayy."
"Ophie, you're getting heavy." Kira complained and set Ophelia down on the concrete floor. her little pigtails bounced as she jumped in minor frustration. Nate turned to look at them as Violett walked up to the table to meet Todd Haberkorn.
"We'll meet you at the entrance okay?" Kira nodded to him as he spun on his heels and shook Todd's hand. Kira all of a sudden felt nervous. She couldn't see his face past her friends, but boy was she nervous. She tightened her grip on her daughter's hand a little and gripped her shirt hem. Violett spun around holding a piece of paper to her chest and grinning like a crazy person.
