LOVE

"Opal, Dean! Are you home?!" I yell when I opened the front door to my home, panting heavily from not taking a break from running.

"Mom, what's wrong?" Dean asks.

"Is everything okay, mom?" Opal asks next. I sigh in relief and hug the two tightly, still breathing heavy. I kissed their cheeks and hug them tightly.

"You're safe. Thank goodness." I whisper to myself.

"Mom, what happened?" Dean asks, holding my head tightly. His freckles and sandy blond hair made him look just like Bill, except he didn't have his eyes. No, Dean had beautiful forest green orbs. Heaven must have been on my side when they gave him those magnificent orbs.

"Dean, you know that I love you, right?" I whimper out, shaking violently. I release my hold on them both, cupping Dean's face with my hands. I look dead at him. "You understand?!" I added with a shout, worry and fear laced in my voice. He's shaken up by my tone, yet he nods.

"Mom, what's going on?" Opal asks, holding my other hand. I mumble ridiculous nonsense.

"Opal, I'm going to be right back, watch your brother." I shout, throwing my jacket off and stomping to the front door, leaving the house. My children, I think, I love you both so much.

"Mom, stop, please tell us!" Dean demands. I ignore him, hastily heading to my car and heading to the only place I knew I needed to be.

When I finally arrive to the cabin, I don't hesitate to unlock the door and storm in. Everything is still in tact from when I was last here but that's not why I'm here. It's missing; or worse, it could be broken. I head to the basement, where even more artifacts are kept, and head to a wall. The stones have withered down because of weather and age, which made it easier to remove a specific stone and reach deep into the wall to grab what I was looking for.

The sack is old, barely being held together after so long, but yet still holds together all right. I reach into the bag, pulling out what I wanted to be a large crystal but getting little, broken shards instead.

"Fuck." I mutter. As it all starts to set in, I throw the bag in anger across the room and it hits a random jar full of goblin eyes I forgot about. The jar falls onto the cement ground and breaks, the slimy water and eyes spews out. I yell another cuss word, even louder than before.

It's all falling together, just as he planned.

"I wanted to have this talk with you both when you got older." I mumbled, rubbing my temples in frustration.

"Is this about puberty?" Opal asks as she tilts her head.

"No, this is something serious. And if possible, maybe about puberty. You and Dean have a 50% chance of being different than other kids." I say, which was directed to them both. Dean arches an eyebrow in confusion.

"How?" He asked, leaning in.

"We'll talk about that later." I simply say. "But for now, I need to talk to you seriously on something important, so no joking around or laughing." She nods in Opal's direction. Opal grumbles silently. "This is about your dad." I pull at my hair slightly at the mention of him. Dean and Opal's eyes widen.

"Wait! Dad?! What about the bastard?!" Opal questions.

"I talked to him earlier at work. He wants to pay a visit, but I will not allow it. He is not welcomed in this home and he will never be. I know it's all of a sudden that I mention him, and I did worry you both when I had that little show." I start, rushing it a bit. "But I have to warn you both of him; he is a dangerous man. He cannot be trusted. He is a liar, and always will be. He will trick you to do evil and bad things, and hurt people you care about." I warn. I can feel myself shake in anticipation, I can't help but think of the past.

"So, he's a bad boy?" Opal says, nudging her elbow towards me. I know she wants to make this moment less intense, but now is not the time.

"You need to trust me on this. He does know where we live, and will most likely come uninvitedly especially when I am at work. If you see a brown eyed, blonde man, run. Run for your lives, and do not fall for any of his tricks. He will hurt you without mercy." I continue, biting my lip hard and standing up. I go to the front window and look through, closing the blinds after seeing no threat. I start to close all the downstairs windows's blinds. I head upstairs finally, doing the same as downstairs.

"Mom, can we at least know his name." Opal speaks up. I stop dead in my tracks, I turn to her and shake my head softly.

"No," She whispered, "that man is a monster and I should've known from the start." I continue to ramble. I sit on Opal's bed, taking a break. "He tricked me, lied and used me. He didn't love me. He just needed you two for power, I wasn't important to him." I grumble. Thinking of him pisses me off so much, I need to refrain myself from punching something.

"It's getting late. Start getting ready for bed, no complaining." I sternly say. They both nod, knowing now isn't the time to protest. I go to my room, looking through the old boxes in my closet to find what I needed.

Whatever he throws at me, I can handle it.
