I race past rows of clothes, the pursuer close on my tail. I can't outrun this guy, so I try to use my small size to my advantage. I take a sharp right, then a left. He stays right on my tail.
'Okay, so I can't shake him on short turns,' I think.
I race down more racks and shelves, now pulling down anything and everything that I can. It slows him down enough for me to lose him in the next few turns. I shove shirts off a shelf and climb on, covering myself with all the shirts I pushed off.
I slow my breathing and listen to the continued chasing of my friends and shoppers. Suddenly everything gets silent. I try to arrange myself so I can see, but it's no use. I try to listen to anything to happens, but I don't hear a thing.
I push the shirts off of me and climb out and look around. I don't see anybody. The people who were chasing us, my friends, even the shoppers are all gone. I keep my guard up and walk around the now empty store looking for anyone who's in here.
I turn a corner and I feel arms around me. A hand covers my mouth and nose with a cloth. I try to pull the hand away, but I'm quickly losing consciousness.
"We got her," I hear someone say before I'm lost to sleep.
______________Time_Jump_______________
I wake up with cold metal pressing into my wrists and ankles. I open my eyes to a blinding light. I'm cuffed to a cold metal chair under an interrogation light in a bare, concrete room.
"I hope you slept well. There was enough in that rag to put out a rhinocerous," a man says hidden in the far corner of the room.
"Who are you?" I manage.
He steps into the light. He looks like a lawyer with his crisp suit and neatly combed hair. If I had to guess he was some kind of attorney they paid to interrogate me to see if I had any kind of value in their eyes.
"I'm not important. I'm just here to make the decision of whether or not you're going to cooperate with these kind gentleman," he gestured two men over.
They were big. This wasn't going to end well. If they were bringing two large men to me and saying to cooperate nothing good would happen.
"Here's the deal, child," Mr. "Unimportant" starts, "we are going to meet with your rebel leaders to negotiate a trade. You are part of that trade. However, we will not give you over until you give us what we want. If you cooperate there will be no harm done. If that can not be said, though, someone will get hurt very much."
A screen turns on showing (F/N) in some kind of contraption. On que, the thing starts and all I hear is cries of pain. I look away and the video stops.
ENDING 1
"When do we begin?"
ENDING 2
"How dare you! Let them go!" I scream.
Mr. "Unimportant" turns and starts walking away, motioning the guards over to me. One uncuffs me from the chair and cuffs my hands together while the other gags me.
"I guess we'll have to do this the hard way."
