Shiukori, Inuyasha's Sister

Chapter Three: The Wolf Demon, Koga

The next morning they were off again, finished with their camp. Shiukori had been teaching Sango some tricks and had promised her that she would be the best human fighter in Japan.

As they were passing by a river, Inuyasha held his nose. Shiukori smelled it as well, but it didn't bother her as much. Truthfully, Inuyasha was probably only making such a big deal because of who the scent belonged to.

"Disgusting!" he whined. Shiukori looked at him, confused.

"It's only a wolf demon scent. What's so wrong, Inuyasha?" she wondered.

"Wait a minute, wolf demon scent, Inuyasha is whining, that can only mean one thing," Sango deduced.

Kagome sighed, "Koga."

"Koga?" Kori repeated. Before any of them got the chance to explain, a greenish looking whirlwind appeared from behind the trees before dispersing, revealing a young looking man. Or rather, young looking demon.

"You called?" he asked with his deep and slightly raspy voice. Immediately, he went to Kagome's side, taking her hand. Inuyasha growled loudly at the demon, warning him. The demon only ignored him, looking over at Shiukori.

"Hey, who is this?" he questioned, leaving Kagome to move to her.

"That's Shiukori, and she's-" Shippo was immediately cut off by a furious half-demon.

"Stay away from my sister, you fleabag," he growled lowly and warningly. Though, this demon boy still didn't take the hint.

"I'm Koga, and you must be beautiful," he grinned slyly at her, giving her the creeps.

"Actually, I'm Shiukori, and I feel compelled to warn you about him," she jabbed a thumb towards her half-sibling.

"What? That old mutt? Please, he couldn't hurt a fly if he tried," Koga waved him off, looking back to Shiukori.

Inuyasha drew Tetsusaiga and spoke threateningly, venom dripping off of every word, "I said, stay. away. from. her."

"So, you're the mutt's sister. You don't look like a mutt. You're actually decent to look at. Very decent. You look more like his half brother, the one who never smiles," Koga observed.

"That would make sense. I am his twin after all," she spoke, uncomfortably scratching the back of her neck.

"Only difference is that you don't have the same markings. Come to think of it, you don't have any," he looked at her face closely. A little too closely​.

"Oh, right! That's because I hide mine," she explained. The demon girl closed her eyes and let her demonic markings appear. She had a blue moon on her forehead and two jagged blue stripes on her cheeks, much like her father. She also had the red lining around her eyelids, as all the demons in their family did. "I hide them because of my father's status. I don't want people bowing down to me just because of who my father is."

Koga was speechless. He hadn't even realized who he was talking to. Yes! She was the daughter of Inu no Taisho, and the heir to all of the land that he ruled. Humans and weak demons shivered just from hearing her name. But, she didn't seem so terrifying. In fact, she seemed like a sweet girl who had far too much power than she knew how to control. Besides, Koga found her far more attractive with her demonic markings.

Shiukori looked down, uncomfortable and, frankly, completely unaware of what to do. She didn't know if she should be ashamed, proud, or annoyed. So she decided to just be conflicted and confused, which was upsetting her. Which meant she was upset. Koga took a finger and lifted her chin up. He leaned in and placed a kiss on her forehead. Now, Shiukori was upset. He pulled away quickly and smiled at her genuinely. She had no idea what his intentions were. None of that mattered anyway, for their was a snarling half-demon behind them.
