Call Me Snuffles
"Amazing!"
The three smiled and politely applauded-- politely as in boy terms-- and the tall, lanky figure that cast shadows on the dark floor of the empty common room bowed, much to their amusement.
"Now we need to just put code names so that whoever gets this-- which would probably never happen, wouldn't know it's us." The messy-haired boy smiled, kicking his feet up on a nearby couch.
Almost immediately, the tall lanky boy smacked his feet, which fell on the floor, causing a bit of a shock to the other three.
"What was that for Remus?" He glared at his friend playfully. He wasn't really mad; he couldn't be with his best friends that he trusted.
The tall boy, Remus, rolled his eyes. "I'm a prefect, and don't dirty the couches. And you would listen if it was Lily telling you," he added when the boy had put up his feet again, causing him to hastily bring them back onto the floor.
"So what should we call ourselves then?" The other messy-haired boy said. He had finished knotting his red and gold tie around his head and was swinging it around, much to the amusement of the round, plump boy that seemed out of place with the other three.
"I don't know, something cool." James, who had glared at Remus for mentioning Lily, said coolly, playing with his wand.
It was only the four of them in the dark common room that was lit with the pale red and yellow fire, and they liked it like this-- alone, together, doing and talking about whatever they please. But sometimes, two of them couldn't help but wish it was just them.
"How about the Pirates?" The small, stubby boy piped up, and Tie-boy suppressed a snort. "Pirates are so old and boring, we wizards are better than whatever they are."
"Sure, Sirius." Remus rolled his eyes, before turning to the boy. "How about a synonym for 'pirates', Pete? Maybe... marauder?" He asked, albeit a little softly. Peter was always the soft, punchable one.
"Yea, ok." He muttered, his small, beady eyes looking round the empty room. "Why not something to do with being Animagi?"
The Sirius lad, Tie-boy, stood up and grinned. "Brilliant, Pettigrew!" He slapped him on the back as congratulations. Peter winced.
"That's great, but I don't want my code name to be deer, and also, we can't call each other that lest other's find out--" James was cut off by Sirius.
"Ah, it's fine! All we need to do is call each other creative names to do with our animals." Sirius turned to Remus and smiled. "You're secret will be safe."
All the boys nodded-- their werewolf friend would be supported forever.
Peter had gotten confidence from the back-slap, so he spoke up.
"How about Remus, you be Moony, I can be Wormtail since I'm a rat, then James can be..."
"Prongs..?" Remus interjected, much to James' approval. Peter continued. "And Sirius can be--"
"SNUFFLES!" James shouted, and Remus started scolding him. "Be quiet!" He hissed, but Sirius started shouting back.
"NO WAY! YOU CANNOT CALL ME SNUFFLES YOU LITTLE--"
"SILENCE!"
Everyone fell quiet at the sound of Remus' angry voice. James apologised. Sirius rolled his eyes in return.
"You can be called Padfoot, alright Sirius?" He said, returning back to his normal voice. Nobody liked an angry Remus; it just wasn't him.
They all nodded. Remus sighed. "You all can get to bed, I'll start on the map--"
"I'll help."
The three looked to Sirius, who was staring into Remus' eyes intently. "Alright." Remus replied quietly. James and Peter didn't find this suspicious, they just went up to bed.
~
"Sirius..."
Remus lay on the large red couch. After Sirius had checked James and Peter were asleep, he pounced onto Remus, sucking on his sweet spot like a full-blown animal.
"It's your turn to be quiet." His voice was muffled as he continued leaving a trail of kisses down Remus' jaw. Remus moaned-- he longed for this.
"Sirius, please, don't keep me waiting..." Remus begged, causing Sirius to smirk as he ever so slowly undid one measly button.
"But isn't it against the rules, Remus?" He stopped at the second button, and Remus groaned.
"Please, Sirius, I--"
"Don't call me Sirius." He growled, ripping his shirt with the returned animosity. He loved it when Remus begged, and this time was no different. Only...
"Padfoot? Or Snuffles, no you don't like that..."
Remus whimpered as Sirius returned to his neck-- all the teasing... Sirius looked up at him, still sucking.
"Only you can call me Snuffles, Moony, or should I say, Moan-y." Sirius chuckled as his joke as Remus slapped him playfully.
"You know what's coming next."
~
Exhausted, the two lay entangled in each other's arms, bodies entwined. It was one in the morning, and they haven't gone to bed.
"I love you, Remus Lupin." Sirius breathed onto Remus' chest, causing him to smile.
"I love you, Sirius Black."
Sirius smiled." Call me Snuffles, Moony."
"Okay... Snuffles." Remus smiled. Sirius would always be his Snuffles.
