Selina and Ivy lay them all down and Selina tells us whats shes got.
"I got two cans of black, because I want to have my room all black, but I dont know if anyone else wanted any," She says. "We also got some pink, because I know it's your favorite color," She nods to me. I smile and Ivy carries on with her and Selina's list.
"I chose some green, because that's what I want my room to be like, and Harley, I got you some red, blue and I'm sure you can pinch some black paint if you want to,"
"Does everyone know what they want in their room?" Selina asks.
"Wait, have we even decided on rooms?" Ivy asks, confused.
"Yeah. Yours is the the very first one," Harley says.
"Oh, thanks," She says sarcastically, going off upstairs with the green paint to check it out.
I take hold of the pink paint, and think about taking one of the black ones.
"It's ok, I won't need the black until later, you take one and give it to me once your done," Harley says. I take the black one as well and go up to my new room. I decided to do the right side of the room black and the left side pink. I decided to do the black first, before Harley wants it. I painted at a distance, because I didn't want to get paint on my outfit, so it took me half an hour to do one coat. Harley came in just when I was just finishing the first coat.
"Start on the pink side now, I'll come in and finish this side once I'm done," She says.
"Thanks," I say.
"Wait!" Harley says. She goes back to her room and comes out with an old blouse.
"Take that off and put this on," She says. "I'll leave it on the stair bannister where no paint will get on it," I carefully take off my dress, not embarrassed infront of Harley. I hand it over and put on the blouse. It went down to the top of my thighs.
"Get that as dirty as you like, its yours now. See ya," She says, leaving me. I open the pink paint and carefully paint next to where the black and the pink meet above the window and luckily, it was a success. The pink didn't really need a second coat, but I did one anyway, just to make sure. Harley came back in half an hour after.
"You do the careful part, I'll do the wall," She said.
It looked much better after we finished.
Now all I had to do was leave it to dry and then I can move stuff around. We go to see how Ivy is doing . She was just about done, so we all went and checked on Selina. She had painted the walls, the door and she has clearly tried to paint the ceiling, but is struggling.
"I swear you can climb," I say.
"Yeah, but how do you paint a ceiling when you have nothing to climb up with?" She repies sarcastically. Harley and I look at eachother and smirk.
"What's up?" Selina asks suspiciously.
"Should we tell her?" Harley says.
"Wait no, I don't think we even have it anymore, remember?" I say to Harley.
"Had what?" Selina asks frustratedly. "We had this ladder that was really tiny and there was a little button underneath the foot and when it was pressed it would expand, but then it would shrink back to normal size over the course of half an hour," I explain. "Listen, I'll just keep trying to reach, it's sort of working anyway. You guys go and get your stuff out the van," She says. We decide to leave her because we could tell she was starting to get frustrated, though Harley was determined to push her buttons.
"Your not as tall and powerful as you make out, are you?!" She whispers viciously.
"Oi," I say nudging her. "Those who stir the shit pot have to lick the spoon,"
I pull her out the room and shut the door. "Now, help me and Ivy move our stuff in. Come on, We'll do the office first if you want," I tag her along behind me as I follow Ivy out to the van. I take a look inside and it was a literal jungle.
"Are these all what you own?" I ask.
"No, there was more, but Selina wouldn't let me bring the others. I had to pick my favorites, which hurt," Ivy sighs.
Harley and I exchange a look.
"I'm not surprised to be honest," Harley laughed. I leaped into the van and searched for our boxes. I found Jokers things for the office first. I walked back and got out. I handed the box carefully over to Harley.
"Go upstairs, I'm going to bring the other boxes upstairs in a bit," I tell her.
Focusing on the box, she carries it inside and I watch until she disappears. I find Harley's box and then mine. I put mine on top of hers and try to lift them out the van. They're not heavy, but because I'm so short, I can't see over it.
"Here," Ivy says. Using her hand to support the boxes and wrapping her arm around my waist, she pulls me out the van. She gets in herself and comes out with a plant under each arm.
"Let's go," She said. And we walk inside.
