His fingertips brushed against the concrete wall as he tried to find his way out of the darkness. It had been hours since Teayang had gained concise, from that moment onward he had been busy trying to find a way out of the dense darkness, which enveloped him.
The small piece of concrete powdered under his footsteps, the only sound audible was his own ragged breath. A faint light glowed at a distance, being the only source to illumination Teayang started to walk towards it. As he got closer the rays of silver light illuminated his path, he turned around and threw glance behind him only to be greeted with the dense darkness.
He stepped in the light; he wanted to locate the source and looked up. Teayang was unable to detect the ceiling or the source witch threw the gleaming light. The longer he stared at the ceiling the more his eyeballs burned. No longer able to hold up his squinted gaze he dipped his head down. His eyes swiped across the room, as soon as he analyzed the surrounding, he no longer wanted the light to illuminate the room further.
Solid statues stood firmly on the ground. They had faded to an irk green color which was chipping of from multiple places. Many stood in a haunting straight position while some had eroded enough to make the steam rods within visible. The room was full of them. They invaded the entire area. Teayang examined the one standing right in front of him.
It was a tall statue of a lady, she looked from the Greek period due to her elongated skirt and a wreath on her head. The curves that were once smooth, now remained rough and brittle. Her arms were outstretched and both hands withheld a circular flat disk. Her eyes were closed and lips pressed together in a tight thin line.
Thud!
Teayang turned around trying to locate the sound but found nothing. All the statues were still and nothing emerged from the dark corridor. Suddenly the lights flickered and dimmed down. Teayang took a step back, towards the statue. His back rubbed against the concrete skirt. He let out a sigh of relief but half way out it got stuck in his throat as he heard concrete rub against concrete. It sounded like two rough bricks being forcefully rubbed against each other. Before he could comprehend what he should do, two blocks of concrete smashed in each other just inches away from his nose. He coughed on the rising dust. Fear coursed his veins when he realized they were the two flat disks. He turned around, staring up-close at the statue.
Its face remained still, suddenly the sound came again and in a millisecond the face changed. The eyes got larger and completely blank, embossed with cracks. The jaw grew longer and the face became thinner. The mouth was completely void; an ear-piercing scream shuttered the silence. It's both arms were around Teayang, he crashed against them as he tried to escape. Finally, he ducked down and ran away from the statue.
The sound was loud, concrete rubbing against concrete. Multiple statues moved together, their faces and body composed in horrifying positions. Teayang's breathing labored, nothing was making sense to him. The statues were so close together, their arms out stretched to grasp Teayang.
He made run to a corner. It was dark. His hands ran across the walls to find an escape, but all in vain. The only thing he felt was the rough cold naked wall.He turned around.
All concrete eyes were on him.
