Saving Liam (BoyxBoy) :

                Chapter 1: The Journey Begins

“What?” I looked down at my mother. “What are you talking about?” I insisted.

“We will be having a house guest,” my mother repeated.

“How long?” I pressed.

“indefinetly.” She replied.

“Ugh.” I grunted as I plopped down on the couch across from my mother.

“Andrew don’t whine it’s unattractive.” My mother scolded. “Liam is a fine boy and he has had a very hard life. His grandmother is no longer fit to care for him and as his mother’s former friend it is my responsibility to take him in.” She sighed. “He’s a good kid and he needs our help Andy.” I smirked at my mother’s nickname for me. If anyone else tried to call me that I would certainly punch them in the face to anyone but my mom it’s Drew or Andrew.

                “Fine.”

“Good, now I have to go pick Liam up from the airport, you go clean your room.”

                “Why?”

“Until we finish the renovations on the guest room are done, Liam will sleep in there. Until then he will need to stay with you.”

“Mom,” I groaned again.

“Andrew, this isn’t up for discussion, now do as you’re told.” She patted my knee before getting up and heading out the door.

“This is going to suck.” I muttered to myself before heading upstairs to attempt to clean my room. About a half an hour later I heard the front door open and I reluctantly got up and traipsed down the stairs. My mom was standing in the living room with a blond guy about my age standing behind her.

“Andrew this is Liam,” she gestured between us. “You two may not remember but when you were toddlers you used to play together quite a bit. I’m sure that you will get along just fine. Andy why don’t you take Liam upstairs and let him settle in while I prepare dinner.”

“Sure thing,” I turned to go back up the stairs and Liam followed. We went into my room and he looked around. “You can set your bag on the bed.” He nodded and walked further into the room.

“You like the Marines.” He acknowledged looking around at all of the posters and knick-knacks that were labeled with the symbols and sayings of The United States Marines.

“Yeah my dad was a Marine, and one day I will be too.”

“Was?” He asked.

“Yeah, was.” I nodded. I looked at him and saw that he was well built with blond hair that hung in his eyes. Speaking of his eyes they were an incredible green. We didn’t speak again until my mother called us down to dinner. When we were done with dinner Liam and I went back upstairs and I plopped down on the bed. “Tell me about yourself.” I said suddenly propping myself up on my elbows.

“There’s nothing to tell,” he said sitting on the bed with his back against the wall.

“Do you play any sports?” I asked.

“Soccer, you”

“Soccer and football.” I replied.

“That’s cool.”

“Yeah,” I said awkwardly.

This was going to be quite the journey…
