Vacation

It was sunny in Barlin... I was a bit disappointed to be honest, people kept telling me it was almost always raining, yet there I was melting because of the heat.

"Come on Shiro, aren't you gonna move?"- Amaya said while interrupting my thought. I looked back and noticed the line I was making behind me for standing in the exit of the plane, while lost in thought. I moved forward with my bags in hand. We had just arrived. She took a look at the sky.
"Owe really? I was so excited for the rain!" - she said complaining

" yeah me too, but I guess we can go to the dog park while it isn't raining. I hope tomorrow rains tho." i answered to her complain.

We were walking in the airport, admiring the mini shops they had there. We were with our parents, two of my siblings, and my sibling's partners. We were 10 in total.

I was quickly scanning the type of objects the stores sold. While I was looking at a store at my right, a strike or light caught my eye. It was a simple mirror, but I spot a little kitty ring sitting next to it. I was obsessed with cats, so i signaled my mother I was going to the store, Amaya followed.

I got the kitten ring, it fitted me perfectly and it didn't look cheap at all. It had pointy ears and the tail extended all the way to the wrist and it gave a full twirl to it. It was weird... and I loved it. I bought it with the 20 bucks my brother had given me before the trip. The casher warned me of the cat ears, as they were so sharp it once made a boy bleed when a girl accidentally punched him with it... and that wasn't the only case, but i still bought it.

My bff found in the store a pair of cute matching cat ears for us, here's were blue with violet design, and mine violet with blue design. She knew me so well.
After leaving the store we catched up to everyone, they weren't far. They were eating pretzels... which i love. I stuffed my face with a pretzel. My mother asked me what i bought, i showed her the cat ears and the ring. She stared at the cat ears trying to hide her judging and tired look.
"Aren't those for little girls?"- she asked not even trying to sound nice.
"No."- i responded firmly showing the fact that i was annoyed. She told me that every time she saw me with one of those on. What she didn't know what that a lot of students loved them (and who was the one to start the "fashion" in her school? This girl right here!).

We kept walking through the airport, until we finally found the exit. The more time i stayed there the more it seemed like a mall with all those stores.

As we didn't have a car there, we took a taxi to the little house we were going to spend the vacation in, it was property of my mother's friend who just happened to be staying at her brother's house in Haitiah (a country a bit far away of Barlin). It was nice and comfy, not too far from the golden apple (4 streets making a square which had a mall, hospital, few fast-foods nearby, furniture stores etc. ).

After the airport we went to a restaurant, to then go home. It was already night when we arrived. As soon as i walked in to my room, i took off my shoes and let myself fall landing in the bed. After a good 5 seconds of enjoying the comfort of having the bed completely for myself, i moved to the side next to the wall. A minutes later Amaya entered the room with her pijamas telling me it was my turn to take a bath. I responded with a snort. She was actually surprised, i never fell asleep that quickly.
She chuckled a bit.
"Poor Shiro, looks like you were THAT tired after-all."
She took her cellphone and carefully made herself comfortable next to me.
"Good night, silly plum"- she said smiling as she petted my hair accidentally slightly waking me up.
"Night, silly kiwi"- i managed to mumble before falling asleep again.
