The forest is said to hold many stories. Each rotting corpse is a scar etched onto the forest floor. The people of Aokigahara might say the victims of the forest were crazy, weak, timid. I think otherwise, I believe that these people were victims of a ruthless society who were misunderstood. Everyone has their breaking point, each as diverse as the enriched world we live in. I mean look at it this way, the forest was made “for rest.” Throughout history the forest was subjected to numerous casualties. From the earlier years where the Japanese would leave their people in the forest to starve and die, to most recent where people across the world would hang themselves to decorate the gnarled trees home.
As an investigator, I make it my duty to explore this forest and discover its secrets. With help from a professional hiker named Paul, a professional paranormal investigator named Robert and Marcus, my fiance, we'll undergo a exhibition through the suicide forest. Along the way I'll be keeping a journal entry for each event happening.
March 17th 09:00-
Marcus, and I just landed in Aokigahara. We're awaiting our hiking guide and paranormal investigator. Amidst our wait we gathered camping supplies and other tools we might need for our journey. Along with me I have a revolver, just to ensure maximum security.
10:05-
Our crew just arrived and I'm excited to work with such interesting people, however I fear I don't completely trust them. They are telling us that they need to get some more equipment so we're going to wait some more at the cafe.
13:35-
We’re finally ready to leave. At the moment we’re heading toward the forest and everyone is giving us charms to ward off evil spirits. It’s creepy so see all these people seemingly scared for us.
15:00-
We’ve just arrived in the forest, the legends are true. The place is a eerie scenery where no sounds are found. I feel like I’ve been put into a picture instead of a live breathing forest. My heart is racing, I hope nothing happens to us!
20:00-
The forest doesn’t seem to be welcoming. We’ve been here for 5 hours and there has been no sound of any wildlife around. The only sound we heard was the sound of our partners, the wind in the leaves, but not an animal was to be found. Honestly, I’m terrified. Although it’s been a few hours in the forest, we still ran across corpses of people and their belongings. This forest worries me, I fear that this forest is more menacing than it looks.
March 18, 00:00-
I heard a noise outside my tent. The rest of my crew is sleeping. Maybe it was just another victim of the forest.
01:30-
There was a scream. It sent chills down my spine, it sounded so unearthly.
10:48-
Paul and I just did a scope around to see if there was any sign of paranormal activity. The radar picked up nothing, and bodies littered the place. I have a feeling this place isn't haunted.
16:34-
I heard another noise, and there's a fresh victim, just a half hours walk west of our base. The young hiker was a female. She seemed to be only 17, and her jaw hung open. A silent scream never heard. Was it she who I heard last night? Why would she scream like that if she planned to kill herself?
21:19-
Marcus sees I'm stressing, he knows something's bothering me. I'm just as lost as he is, but I just can’t shake this feeling.
