Aria tossed and turned in her bed, getting woken up by the sound of her mother bursting into her room and talking in the speed of light.

"Slow down, woman," Aria groaned, sitting up and rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

"Time to rise and shine," Artemis said cheerfully, pulling her daughter's drapes open.

"No. I am a child of night."

"That might be true, but you and your friends have work to do today," she told her, tossing her daughter some clothes to wear for the day.

"We have to what?" Anjelyn asked her mother as they sat down at the breakfast table.

Persephone merely sighed, she hated repeating things.

"Don't make me say it again, Anjelyn."

"And why do we have to do your dirty work for you?" Gracie asked irritatedly.

"Gracie, this isn't dirty work, this is necessary," Athena said, "you all need to know how to deal with mortals."

Gracie rolled her eyes in disgust, "yeah, because turning them into horrible, ugly looking creatures or killing them is frowned upon now."

"Don't get mouthy with me."
