The blue horses

I live in California with my mum (Kate) and my step dad (Kevin). I guess Kevin is okay for a step dad but he can never replace my dad. He has always wanted me to call him dad but i call he Kev or Kevin, never in the entire world would i call him dad. As i was saying i live in California well i did until Kevin got promoted in his band and so he has to travel over the world.

Kevin went and me and mum stayed in our big house in California. I was happy and mum was happy for a bit. Then she began to miss Kev. (It is as if my dad Jake never existed) So because my mum wasn't happy i wasn't happy. I decided to make my mum go with Kev and i would go to a small town called Watch Dale to visit my Uncle Billy even though, he owns his own horse ranch.

The big day arived and Kevin was dropping me off at the half way point then my Uncle Billy would pick me up and take me the rest of the way to Green Oak Ranch. (as he calls it)

"Hurry Kate i don't wanna be late for meeting my band and Mia speed it up will you."

"Were coming Kevin, come on Mia you don't want to be late for meeting your dad."

"Let me just put this last bag in the boot mum."

Let me just tell you this i hate Kevin because he is always bossing me and my mum around but it doesn't bother my mum, somehow. Well we are all in the car and i'm just reading in the back or the car. I quite like reading when ever i have to go out with mum and Kev i would always bring some books and some head phones so i can't hear him nagging all the time.

"Mia get out of the car Kevin will give you a hand with your thing and put them in your uncles car."

Well what can i say we was at the half way point and i had only just finished my third book. I climb out of the sports car and open the boot and Kevin was grabbing most of it and loading it into my uncles boot. There was a suitcase and a box for me to carry because Kevin took the other suitcase and three boxes. As i got into the front seat of my uncles car i waved to my mum and sent her a message on my phone saying cya soon, but to Kevin soon is like a few days so he's going traveling for 3 years and i guess that will be when i can see my mum again.

"Hi Mia you feeling okay?"

"Yes i am Uncle Billy."

"Mia."

"What."

"Just call me Billy."

"Okay Billy."

As usual i continue to read all the way to Billy's horse ranch. He has a little house attached to Green Oak Ranch. The population in this small town is 4,678.

"Billy is that the school i will be starting?" I say as we drive past

"Oh yes Mia that is Watch Dale High, it's only a 30 minute drive form our place."

"Oh okay."

Drive i don't even have a car to drive and i'm not letting my uncle take me, don't get me wrong i love Billy i just don't want him to be driving me to school and i do know how to drive because, Kevin taught me on my 15th birthday. That was 3 months ago.

"Were here Mia, Green Oak Ranch."

Finally we were here i climb out of the car and Billy helps me get all my things to my room. My room is quite big and Billy just leaves me to sort my room out myself.

Later that day i see Billy outside with two men. One is the the same age as Billy and the other is my age. So being me i go out because i want to know who they are.

"Mia do you remember Tommy and his son Luke?"

"Oh yeah i do, didn't me and you go into the woods when we were younger to the waterfall to try and see the blue horses."

"I guess we did Mia do you like this red jeep?"

"Yes it's nice."

"Well it's yours now, your uncle just bought it off us."

"Wow thanks Billy."

"No problem Mia."

"I told you Billy that me Tommy is always right."

"Will i see you in Watch Dale High?"

"No sorry Mia i go to school over on the other side of town."

"Oh  well i guess i won't know anyone when i start, cya soon Luke i'm gonna get some sleep for school tomorrow."

"Okay well bye Mia bye Billy it was a pleasure doing business with you."

"You too Luke and Tommy."

Well that was that i went to bed as i had to be up at 7 the next day and my room has a few more boxes to be unpacked. I was fast asleep then woke up and 5am because Billy had gone out of the house so i decide i would ask him about leaving to the house in 2 hours.
