chapter one - night one

Hey! My name is Briar Nolet, and I'm super excited to be the newest Bachelorette! I was born in Toronto, Canada but when I was 18 I moved to California to pursue my career as a professional dancer, and now I'm a lawyer. Dance has always been my passion, and it always will be, but I want to
be a successful, strong woman, so I decided to ditch dancing for a bit, and go to a real university. I really enjoyed the law courses I took, and I graduated with a degree in it, so I decided to become a lawyer.
I was born into a loving family with two amazing parents, Tamara and Allan, and my incredible sister, Abby! My parents have been married for 35 years and they have that fairytale love that you only see in the movies, and I've always wanted to experience that feeling. They really inspire me, I couldn't have asked for better parents. They want us to become successful, enjoy life, and to be there for others. My family is super important to me, and I hope the guys also have that in common with me.
I was originally on Nick's season, and I made it to the final two with Vanessa, and Nick proposed to Vanessa. I was really hurt that Nick let me go because he told me he loved me, and I was legit sold he was going to propose. I took time off to heal from that relationship and to focus more on my career than finding love. I do believe that the right guy is out there for me, and that the fairy tale love that my parents have exists. I'm excited to find that with the perfect guy for me. I hope to walk away from this experience happily engaged, madly in love, and filled with happiness all around! Let's start this shall we?

NIGHT ONE
I cannot believe this day has finally arrived! I could be meeting my husband tonight, and that's so crazy to think about!
This is the dress I wore:

My jaw dropped when my stylist pulled this dress out! It's honestly so perfect!
I decided to curl my hair, but do my makeup a bit differently than usual. I did a dramatic smokey eye, and a bold maroon lip. It was kind of a surreal moment just looking at myself in the mirror, and realizing that just in three hours my life was about to change forever. Afterwards, I walked out into my bedroom where my assistant awaited me to put on my dress. Wow, this is really happening. The dress just made it all so real, I literally can't believe I'm doing this!
"Okay Briar, this is it. Don't mess up." I said to myself looking in the mirror.
It's so crazy that this is really happening. I really didn't think I'd be ever to date anyone ever again since I was so heartbroken after my relationship with Nick. I'm ready to find the love of my life, and to experience love again! It's an unexplainable feeling for sure!
"So sorry to disturb you Briar, but the limo is waiting outside." My assistant, Raven said with a smile. "Briar, you look absolutely stunning. I'm so excited for you!" Raven said excitedly.
"Aww, thank you so much Raven! I couldn't have looked this amazing without you!" I laugh.
"Here, I'll walk you out." She replied as I followed her down the stairwell. She walked me outside, and opened the door to the limo as I got in.
"Good luck Bri, you'll need it girl!" She smiled.
"Thank you!" I replied.
She shut the door to the limo, and the limo quickly drove away from the apartment building I'm staying in.
From my apartment to the mansion, it took about ten minutes. Those ten minutes felt like an eternity. My heart was pounding out of my chest, I was squeezing my hands together, and I felt like I was going to throw up all over the limo. But at last, I finally reached the mansion with Chris Harrison standing outside. I took a deep breath, opened the door, and stepped out of the limo and started walking towards him. The cameras were rolling, and there were big studio lights everywhere.
"But before we meet the men, let's meet our Bachelorette, Briar Nolet!" Chris said as all the camera were pointed to me.
"Hey Chris!" I smile.
"Briar, long time no see!" Chris hugs me. "May I say, you look stunning as usual!" He smiles.
"Thank you so much!" I reply.
"See, charming and sweet which is many of the qualities our Bachelorette has. Are you excited to start your journey on finding love?" Chris asked.
"I couldn't be more ready to find the love of my life. I'm really so honoured to be the Bachelorette, and that 20 guys are flying from all over the world, just for me!" I smile.
"Well, let's start Briar's journey and meet the 20 suitors fighting for her heart this season." Chris said.
4 limos drove into the mansion drive way, and 20 handsome men came out of the limos, and joined together in a big group in front of me.
"Okay guys, welcome to the Bachelorette mansion. One by one, you will tell Briar your name, where you're from, and something else of your choice." Chris explained.
"First off, I would like to thank each and everyone of you guys for flying from all over the place just to be here tonight. I'm literally in shock right now, and may I say, damn you guys look good! I'm very excited to get to know each and everyone of you, and I'm very thankful for all of you." I smile. Everyone clapped.
"Hey Briar, my name is Carson, and I'm from New York. You look so gorgeous, and I'm so lucky to be standing here in your presence." Carson smiled. That last part was a little weird, but he's super cute.
"Thank you very much Carson. Can I give you a hug before you head inside?" I ask.
"Of course cutie." He hugs me, and heads inside the mansion.
"Hi Briar, my name is Myles, and I'm born and raised in Toronto, but I live in LA now. You're so gorgeous, I'm literally blinded by your beauty. I'm super excited to get to know you, and start our love story together." He smiled as he held my hands, and as we stared into each other's eyes.
"Why thank you, Myles, I'm very flattered. Can I have a hug?" I asked.
"You didn't even have to ask." He smiled and hugged me. His hands went very low, almost touching my butt, but I couldn't complain. I'm into Myles.
Afterwards, I met Dylan, Ryan, Jonathan, Tyler, Bracken, Cole, Daniel, Brendan, Noah, Peter, Darien, Graham, Landon, Logan, Kieran, Brock, and Darren.
Dylan, Darren, Logan, Jonathan, and Myles made an incredible first impression. I don't know who to give my first impression rose to. They're definitely making this decision really hard.
All of the men were inside the mansion for the cocktail party, and I was upstairs making my decision for the rose ceremony, and I had to eliminate 5 guys tonight. I'm pretty confident in my decision, but first I had to do the first impression rose.
I headed down stairs, into the living room where the men awaited me.
"Briar!" They all said.
"Hey guys! I'm just going to take this quickly, and I'll be back shortly!" I took the rose off of the coffee table, and headed into the backyard by the pool where I found Dylan.
"Hey Dylan, can I talk to you for a minute?" I ask.
"Of course gorgeous." He hugs me. He grabs my hand, and I lead him into the spot where I got the first impression rose from Nick.
"I just wanted to thank you for giving a great first impression, and for coming all the way from Dallas, just to see me. I really appreciate it." I smile.
"You're so adorable when you get nervous." He bites his lip, and leans closer in to me, and gives me a light pec on my lips.
"And that's why I wanted to give you the first impression rose. So, Dylan, will you except this rose?" I smile.
"Of course." He pulls me in for a kiss, and he kissed me passionately. I sat on his lap for what seemed like forever. This was an amazing feeling.
"I hate to cut this short, but I have to go to the rose ceremony. Thank you Dylan." I smile.
