Lana woke up to the banging sound of the guards wooden baton against the door until she got up, routine. She pulled herself out of bed and stood at the door waiting for breakfast, well you couldn't really call it breakfast it was more of slop made of scraps from all the nuns and guards. It was disgusting but it was all they got. The guard slid her food through the slit under her door and she internally gagged, she didn't even want to look at it.
She looked down and almost gasped. She had real food, eggs and toast. She quickly dropped down to the tray and shovelled the food into her mouth, moaning in pleasure as she tasted real food for the first time in months. She finished her breakfast and slid the tray back under the door and walked back to her bed.
"Wait...why did I get that?" Lana thought to herself. Only one named popped into her head. Jude.
--//--
"Welcome to Briarcliff." Jude said sternly as doctor Thredson walked through the front door. He look all around, his eyes bright with amazement. He reached for Jude's hand to shake but she just walked past him.
"I call it my stairway to heaven." She hummed as she looked back at him starting up the stairs.
"If you'd follow me to my office, we could talk more privately."
--//--"So, what interest could you possibly have with Briarcliff?" Jude asked skeptically looking him over.
"Well, I am aware that there was a woman who was admitted here who is...."
"Homosexual." Jude finished his sentence.
"Yes, and there is a new theory I have been working on and I think it can cure her. If you would just let me work with her-"
Half of Jude wanted to say yes for sure do anything to help her. But there was this little voice telling her to not let Thredson anywhere near her. She didn't know what feelings she had toward her, but she is sure they were wrong. They just wouldn't leave her head.
Jude stood up and walked to the door of her office.
"Frank!" Jude called down the hallway. "Please being Miss.Winters fo my office."
--//--Lana walked into Jude's office. She was sitting at her desk looking stern as ever.
"Oh sister I want to- Jude widened her eyeballs signalling Lana to shut up as Thredson looked back at her. Lana looked away from Jude and over to Thredson. Then gulped.
"Who is this." She asked her voice cracking with fear.
"His name is Doctor Thredson...Jude started. She put her head down looking to the ground. "He is here to help you..." She almost whispered.
Thredson smiled weirdly at her and she shuddered. Lana looked over to Jude hopelessly. Who was still looking at the ground.
"Help me in what way?" She asked.
"I have come up with a new theory that I have been wanting to test. By training your brain its wrong with forced exercises that with hopefully cure you're sickness. I would like to start your treatment to-"
"That will be all for today doctor. See yourself out." Jude interfered looking back up at Thredson. He tried to pipe up and finish what he was saying but was silenced by Jude's raised hand. He nodded slowly and walked out of her office closing the door behind him. Once she was sure he was gone Jude turned her gaze to Lana.
"Sister....please..." She begged tears forming in her eyes. Jude looked away from her trying to contain her own tears. Jude stood from her desk and walked over to where Lana was standing.
"Lana...I don't know what else to do. I want you to get out, you don't belong here."
Jude whispered quietly. Lana stepped closer to jude and looked her in the eyes."Then help me get out." She said grabbing her arms. Jude shook her head. She didn't want Lana to leave, but she didn't deserve to be in this place. But she couldn't admit her feelings for Lana. Besides she probably didn't feel the same way about her.
"I-Jude started but she choked on her words. She averted her eyes to the ceiling afraid tears would let loose if she looked at Lana. Lana was confused and didn't know what to do to comfort Jude. So she engulfed her in a hug. At first she didn't hug back, but then she wrapped her arms around Lana's shoulders, She was a bit taller than Lana so her chin fit perfectly in the crook of her shoulder. Jude soon pulled away from the hug and looked Lana in the eyes.
"I-I don't want you to go..." She whispered. Lana was a bit taken back by this comment. She had never seen Jude show much emotion, let alone any towards her. What, did Sister Jude have feelings for her? Why? How? Lana wanted to ask so many questions and she felt like her head was going explode. She never wanted to admit it to herself, but she might have feelings for sister Jude, the one who locked her up in here, tortured her and betrayed her. Yet she was drawn by the mystery that lurked beneath the habit.
She moves her head closer to Jude. Jude stood frozen, from both fear and excitement. Lana leans in, so her forehead rests against hers. They close their eyes. Both their breaths are shaking. "Jude, I have something to tell you." she says in barely more than a whisper.
"what is it?" Jude replies, her voice low and almost husky.
"I think....I have feelings for you." Her voice wavers, exhilarated from the tension between them.Lana gently leans in and kisses Jude's warm lips. They pull apart and take shaky, shallow breaths. At first Jude was uncertain of what she should do. She knew this was wrong but it felt so right to her. Unable to contain herself anymore, Jude holds Lana's head in her hands and pulls her into a fiery and passionate kiss.
Lana's hands work their way around body, feeling each crevasse, each line along Jude's perfect physique. They pull apart and open their eyes. They stare at each other, deep into each other's eyes. Lana's full of wonder and love, Jude's full of curiosity and passion. No words are spoken but a story worthy of them is communicated.
