Between The Lines|A Naegiri Story

1|First Day

Naegi's P.O.V
It was the begging of 10th grade here at Hopes Peak Academy(At least for my grade).While I walk through the halls, I see Fukawa flirting with Togami(Except hes not flirting back), and Ishimaru and Oowada doing the same thing, getting flattered at any comment the other says.
They are a cute couple, and Im totally supportive when it comes to LGBTQ+ pride.
Ishimaru may seem kind of harsh or strict, but he's pretty sweet if you get to know him. He told me he feels something totally different next to Oowada, much different than being next to me or Fujisaki.
I wonder what this feeling is like that every Disney movie, couple, or grown-up talk about...It seems amazing at the way that they say it.
You could say me and Ishimaru are good friends.
I'm still walking through the halls, and I promise myself things I know I won't keep. Like not sneezing loudly, since my sneeze is acute, everybody would start laughing.
I have to admit, in the beggining it was funny, but then it kept repeating  again and again, and I'n annoyed at it at this point. But everytime this happened last year, there was always Kirigiri. She would never laugh once a joke was said or something improposital happened, she'd never laugh.
That always amazed me for some reason. How can somebody be so quiet and calm? And everytime the class would burst into laughter, I would look  quickly down horizontle left, where her desk was last year, and she would always be quiet. I've been curious about that for a while...Oh well, better to get to the the new home room right now.
As the same as last year, you can all see a wild Enoshima flirting with a random guy that may be in our class. This time it's Kuwata. I may be nice and not judgy, but Enoshima is a backstabber. EVERYBODY knows Maizono and Kuwata have been dating since 9th grade(A.K.A last year). He's not really caring about Enoshima's hair-flip-and-cringy-giggle flirting anyways(You could say she's desperate).
I used to have a crush on Maizono in middle school, but not anymore. I never really had a crush on somebody else after her, just if you count 3 seconds as "love" for Asahina, but I hope you know I regret that. She's cool but...I'm good.
I sit down in a desk on the 3rd row, next to the window. It's a pretty day on sight, but it's freezing outside. I swear, I putted two coats on beacause of that. I pull out a book from my schoolbag. It's  Paper towns, from one of my favorite writers. John Green. His stories always make me emocional, always with a simple but also giant and funny adventure...
As I read, I notice a lavender, fast, blur sit next to me. I notice it's Kirigiri. I stare at her for a while, but quickly try to find where I stopped in the book, afraid that she will notice me staring at her. By the sounds, I can hear she's pulling out a book from her bag. I stare quickly to see which book is it. It's Stephen King's  Mr.Mercedes. It's a great book. At least until where I read it. Never got to finish it.
5 minutes later, a soft, close voice says"Paper towns.It's a great book... What else have you read?" It was Kirigiri. I'm kind of surprised tho...Not that she's super quiet, but that she is talking to me. "I've read The Diary of Ann Frank, Under the Dome, Maze Runners(All of them), Divergent(All of them also)...Well I guess this is it from this year, what about you? I read that book also..."She is looking right into my eyes, kind of intimidating, but she looks pretty interested. "...Oh sorry...I was thinking a little" I say, acknowledging that I looked like an idiot "But I never got to finish it..." I respond with a pondering look on my face. "Oh it's okay, I do that also sometimes. Well, I've read a lot of books too, but I'm surprised a person like you never read Hunger Games. It's a pretty good book, but perhaps not much of my interest. You should read it." She responds. I really don't know why, but I feel my cheeks getting warmer for some reason. "Not much of my interest also being honest, but it is well written. We should get some coffee sometime you know? So we can talk about this more!" NAEGI WHY? WHY THE FRICK DID I SAY THIS?! I'm feeling my cheeks getting warmer and warmer and even redder...
"Sure, I'd love to."
I freezed. I am surprised. I never invited somebody to go out. She said the phrase in such a sweet tone, I even tried to smile friendly. But apparently I'm uncappable of that too."O-Okay! What time do I pick you up o-or we meet u-up o-or you p-pick me up or-" "Naegi, calm down. You can pick me up  on Friday, at 6:30pm, I'll pass you my number after, so we can work it out better." She responds sweetly and softly. And she touches my hand. OH CRAP THIS IS GOING FAST MAN!
I chuckle a little, and she only smiles. That was the first time I saw her smiling...And blushing.

AHH! This was so much longer than I expected lol! Anyways tell me in the comments anything I can do better or if I should continue, or anything nice haha! I think I'm going to do each POV a chapter if they are going to be this long...anyways, thx a'lot for reading my story, and see ya!❤️😅
