In the creation of the world, two creatures were created; the humans and the Valkyries. The Valkyries were human-like figures with wings of a majestic nature. In their domestic Valkyrie form, they appear supernaturally beautiful, causing the first humans to worship the creatures. However, these aesthetic creatures had a sinister nature to them; they survive by drinking human blood, thus allowing them to have eternal life.
This story is set in the present day depicting the life of the last Valkyrie left on Earth, Camilla, 856 years old.
