Soon my dad starts telling me what happened "Ok sweetie so when me and mommy were in high school we were popular but we weren't always popular you see we used to be nerds and always wanted to be popular but one day one of the most popular kids in school told us we could become popular if we helped him with something but you see mommy and I didn't know what it was we didn't even ask we were so caught up in the moment we just said yes although to this day we still regret saying yes because.... he made us do something terrible one of mommy's and daddy's best friends died because of us" I was speechless I didn't know how to react. so my dad continued with the story. "the other kid who was popular and wanted help his name was Jeffery he always hated henry he was our best friend Jeffery knew where he was heading that afternoon he needed help bringing a mannequin on the bridge over the highway he then asked for help to sit him on the rail of the bridge we said ok still not knowing what was about to happen he then started to tell us this is a man who is sitting on a bridge thinking about the after life he wanted to die then he saw henry driving up and then he said say goodbye and he dropped the mannequin right before henry came up when he saw the mannequin he thought it was a human and he drove all crazy trying not to hit the mannequin and his car flipped over and he sadly died and it killed 7 more people in the process and 4 other people got injured badly"
I was speechless I didn't know what to say I was scared and disappointed all at the same time. What happened to my parents after that did they go to jail I was so confused. Are my parents killers.......... no they didn't know it was gonna happen it's not their fault. So I finally got the guts to ask them mom dad what happened afterwards. They took a deep breath and waited 30 seconds before even saying a word. "Sweetie nothing happened afterwards" DON'T LIE TO ME! "Sweetie we did go to jail.... but only for a short period of time at first the cops didn't believe us but we kept telling them he made us do it we didn't know that was gonna happen and we showed them proof by telling them to look on the camera that they had on the light of the highway then they let us go and Jeffery got locked up for 2 years"
Knowing that my parents been to jail sent shivers down my spine. No matter how long they were in jail long or short it was still terrifying. Knowing they have been keeping this secret from me..... from all of us it felt wrong they should've told us. Mom, dad why haven't you ever told us. "You guys didn't need to know but now that we lost our jobs I guess you were going to figure out" "but look don't say anything yet to your sister or brother ok? Also Jeffery's last name was plot and 2 people with the last name of plot came in to tell us our business was being taken down and they kinda looked like his parents but obviously older and I think they wanna get revenge now"
