Donghyun is hugging a stranger. Not necessarily a complete stranger because he knew the person, but he didn't actually know the person in a personal manner, so just a stranger.
"Shh...it's okay," he says, trying to prevent her from crying even more and they stay like that for a few more minutes.
Donghyun didn't actually know how he ended up in this situation, especially with her in particular. He was just buying an ice cream for her little sister when suddenly, a crying Yoomi crashes into his arms.
Lee Yoomi, the popular ice princess in his school. Someone who's talented in anything she does with her beauty exceeding the rest. Everyone admired her for she was always kind and simple even though she's known for her riches, yet no one can actually break the walls she has built for herself.
Donghyun was confused on why she is called an ice princess until he observed her a little bit more.
Yoomi is always lonely. She is kind to everyone, but she doesn't have any friends. She does everything by herself; reading in the library, eating during lunch, and so on.
"Are you okay now?" Donghyun asks when Yoomi pulls back from the hug, who is still sniffling. She nods her head slowly.
"I-I'm sorry. I just- I- you were the only one I knew and I just needed to- I'm sorry," Yoomi tries to explain herself, but Donghyun pulls her back into his embrace because she's tearing up again.
"It's okay, it's okay. Don't cry anymore," Donghyun says, calming her down by rubbing his hands on her back softly.
After what seems like forever to Donghyun, Yoomi finally bids her goodbye to the latter and disappears from his sight.
He stands there for a minute, thinking about what just happened.
"I guess, everyone is calling you the wrong name. You're not the ice princess, you're the lone wolf," Donghyun sighs and walks back to his house, completely forgetting about his purpose of going out until his sister sees his empty hands and says,
"Oppa, you forgot my ice cream," making Donghyun run out as fast as he can to get the ice cream before hell breaks loose.
