Chapter three: You found me

Just a few days after joining school, the school's summer festival was about to begin. She didn't know what this was as her old school didn't do these stuff. But damn she was excited.

Not more than Brooke though.

"Its the festival of all festivals people!!!!! Let's get ready!!" Brooke screamed.

It was a three day festival which ended with a formal lunch at daytime.

There were stalls, water rides, music, salsa and everything that screamed summer.

Haley roamed around so much on the first two days that she got dehydrated and eventually fell sick.

She really wanted to go the party. All dressed up and looking pretty.

But her mom said " Sweetheart, you're already sick. What if it gets worse ?"

Haley: But mom I have everything ready ! My dress, shoes, everything! I can just drink water and I'll be fine!
Mom: But you might fall sick again tomorrow.
Haley: Pleaseeeee...
Mom: Okay baby. We'll see tomorrow? Now get some sleep. Goodnight
Haley: Night mom.

Haley texted Brooke and Claire and told them about the whole situation. A to Z. Like literally.

She was really close with them. Brooke created a group for them in WhatsApp. Three of them talked about it in the group. They insisted she comes.  She also said she would try her best. No one was as excited as her for the party.

Though she was scared. She was new and she clearly didn't make many friends. And she was kind of insecure. What if she ended up looking like a potato? She went to sleep thinking about all these.

The next morning she woke up late. But she was feeling much better.

MOM!!!!!'
She called her mother from upstairs .

Her Mom quickly came up and said," What happened? You feeling okay ?

Haley: I feel so much better today. Can I please go ? Like, I think I'll feel much better if I get some company of my friends. I don't wanna miss this party. It's my first summer festival.

Her mom was quiet. She wasn't convinced that Haley was okay.

Haley made a face which pleaded to go to the party. It was hard to say no after seeing that face.

Mom: Ahh. Okay. Then take a shower and get ready. And drink some water before you go. It's still really hot outside.
Haley: YESSSS. I love you mom !

Haley jumped out of bed.

Suddenly she thought about how she could look all weird but she threw that thought out of the window. She didn't have much time to get dressed, she was already late.

She took a shower. She came out and got dressed. Curled her hair at the bottom and left it open. Just clipped a little hair in front.

She looked really cute. Yet beautiful. She was always beautiful in her own way.

Then claire and Brooke came home and picked her up. 

As Haley came out of the door, both of them were star stuck.
"OMG !" Brooke said with her jaws literally on the ground." You look so good girl !"

"Oh umm.. Not really tbh. You guys look pretty! Haley said softly.

"Yeah right ! You look stunning. The boys will go pretty crazy seeing ya!", Claire said.

Haley just blushed. She didn't know what to say.

They drove to the school and straight went to the field. There were juices, balloons, water rides outside. And the lunch arrangement was inside the ballroom.
