Chapter 18

ASHLEY'S POV

When I woke up this morning, I opened my eyes then noticed I wasn't in my room. Then I remember we moved yesterday and that's where I am. Then I looked some more and realized that's not where I was either. Then I looked around some more and it finally dawned on me that I was in Ross' room.

I think Ross must have felt me moving around on the bed because then he said, "Morning beautiful." I started smiling and thought, 'Yeah right.' Then I noticed he was staring at me and then he said, "Ash, I know what you are thinking and yes you are beautiful so don't deny it." Then he kissed my forehead and pushed me aside and said, "Now move so I can go pee." I started giggling and then said, "Wait to be classy Ross. You sure know how to treat a girl."

He came back up to me and said, "Sorry, could you please move over so I may use the restroom? Is that better?" I looked at him and said with a smile, "Ehhh I actually liked the other way better." He sighed then went to the bathroom. He yelled at me from the bathroom, "Hey do you want me to help you unpack things at your house? I'm sure you could use help."

I yelled back at him, "Sure why not. I would just have to check with my family." I texted my mom and asked if he could come. She instantly replied sure because we need some guy help bringing boxes upstairs, since we put them all in the living room downstairs.

I told Ross, "You can come!!!" He smiled and said, "Ok I will go get dressed and you can meet me at the kitchen table for breakfast." I yelled in his face, "OK ROSS!!!" I grabbed my phone then walked out the door then started down the stairs. My phone dinged so I looked down as I walked down the stairs and saw that Paige texted me, 'Heyyyyyy girly. Hows LA ?'

I was about to reply when I realized that I reached the bottom step and I ran into someone. Whoever it was, caught me and held me there. I was looking into Riker's eyes when I started having a flashback.

FLASHBACK- TRIP TO COLORADO SKI RESORT January 2012

(A/N This is before Ashley knew who R5 was)

I got on the ice to skate around for a little while. As I was skating, I started looking around at the mountains when I felt a body hit me. I felt right on my butt and then looked around to see who hit me. I noticed a guy to the left of me with blond hair and was trying to get up. Once he finally got up, he said to me, "Oh sorry I didn't see you there. So what's your name, cutie?" he said as he pulled me up of the ground.

I started blushing and said, "Ashley, and yours is?" He smiled at me and said, "Riker. What brings you to my homestate of Colorado? Vacation?" I nodded and said, "Oh you live here? That's so cool!" Then he said, "No, actually I used to live here and now I live in Los Angeles. How about I go buy you a hot chocolate?" he grabbed my hand and dragged me to follow him and I said, "I guess so, I have another hour before I have to leave here."

Then he said, "Awww I was hoping that maybe I could take you on a date?" I smiled at him and said, "Well we could consider this a date?" He nodded and said, "Sure, but where do you live, will I ever see you again?" I said, "Um... I really don't think so since I live around Houston, Texas." Then Riker said, "Awwwww maybe I could just get your number and then we could talk or text!" I nodded as he dragged me to the cafe inside.

We eventually did exchange numbers and drink hot chocolate and then I finally had to leave. I remember he was my first crush and he took me on my first date, if you could call it that. I always wanted to find him, but after a month he moved to the back of my head and we lost touch.

BACK TO PRESENT

"Woah," I said while still in his arms. He pulled me back up and said, "I knew you looked familiar. You went on vacation in Colorado a couple years ago and we met there!" Then I said, "Yeah! Haha honestly I remember having a huge crush on you once you helped me up off the ice." I said blushing. Then he said, "Yeah, I remember not being able to think about anything but you for 6 months until finally I gave up on finding you. I truly really liked you."

Then he did something I had been wanting back in 2011. He started leaning in for a kiss and I felt his lips on my before I could pull away. Then I remembered Ross and Emily. I leaned back and hissed at him, "Riker... did you forget you have a girlfriend and I have a boyfriend?" Then he said, "Oh shit, I am so sorry Ash. I can't believe I just kissed you." Then I heard someone start crying and then Ross yelled, "WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY RIKER???" Oh man, I am so dead.
